You're the idiot. I mentioned later in the thread that the painting was in a powder room. No shower steam in a powder room. Believe what you want to -- doesn't matter to me. |
Then you should have said that up front, since I didn't see your clarification until AFTER I sub, itted my post. That doesn't change the fact that putting such a fine piece of art in such a room is just plain idiotic and asking for it to be ruined. |
| I'll echo: Why is it in bad taste? Just because you wouldn't do it? I like my expensive bags. I'm sure you spend money on things I would fine pointless. What does it matter to you how I choose to spend my money? |
+1 Same thing for cars ... |
Ok, but you didn't have to call me an "idiotic poster" just because I knew someone who kept fine art in the powder room. It's not my fault. |

Your cheap 3K bags are pathetic. Now this is a nice bag:

Just remember the people who would save for a month to buy a $12 pair of shoes for their child. These people do exist, and live in trailer parks all over the country.
There are nice, quality bags for $100-$200. Hopefully the one you buy will be closer to $150 than $1K. Use the extra to pay off your mortgage faster, save for a special vacation, party, or day to spend with loved ones. Create some memories! |
WHY do you "deserve it" ? That's such a cheap advertising ploy, and you fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Why does someone inherently deserve nice things over other people? Aren't other people entitled to nice things too? Don't tell me "I work hard." Other people do too, harder than you for less money. What an inane waste of money. It's obscene, really. |
| OP, Chloe has nice bags and they are in your price range |
Hermes Kelly. It comes with its own rainhat and "has never been carried". 8) |
Exactly. Why would anyone waste her money on a cheap bag that has already been carried? I can tell the difference in quality instantly. You might as well buy your bag at Walmart. |
There are people who would say that $100-$200 is excessive for a bag. They can go to target or walmart and spent $30. Price is relative to income. You can't fall trap to that game. My mom would have never spent more than $50 on a bag. I won't spend more than $3000. Does it make either of us bad people? No--different lifestyles, different incomes.....just because someone can't or doesn't want to spend money on a bag doesn't mean that those that can/do are wrong. |
| I would never spend less than $15,000 for a bag. I can't carry a bag that other people are carrying. |

There are some really lovely bags here, some less than $1k some more:
