How can anyone take us seriously in these dimity florals and huge shoulder ruffles?

I have huge boobs and they look awful
On me. I can’t wait for the trend to be over. I’m so jealous of women who can wear these and look good.

Anybody who is size 10 or bigger look awful in these floral thingies.

Agree, but I'd say anyone over a size 8 looks like they are wearing a moomoo. And if your short you look like you are trying to look like a child. These are designed for slim banana shapes with long legs and no more than a B cup. Even then they make the wearers look stuipid.

What's a "moo moo"?

Someone doesn’t know how to spell mumu. The length is flattering on me. It’s the ruffles at the shoulders that are bad. If they just put straps on them, we could wear them with those cute cropped cardigans they’re pushing at us.

Actually, someone knows it had different spellings in marketing and chose the spelling that closely resembled cattle on purpose.

Moomoo is not in dictionary.com. Mumu is.

Many marketing words aren’t in the dictionary, so what’s your point other than to be trite?

The Kennedy Bessette minimalism is hitting now. It’s how I dressed in the mid-late 90s—slip dresses, slim lines.

Frankly, I still dress like that —minus the slip dresses. I have never been a fan of ornate or ruffles or prairie dresses w/poofy sleeves (how the fk did that take off with 20-50 year old women?)

All these dresses remind me of the Laura Ashley craze of the mid to late 80s. I had the puffed sleeve print dresses. I have a look that just doesn't work with this kind of cutesy way of dressing. It didn't flatter me then when I was 14 and 110 pounds and it doesn't flatter me now at 53 and 130. With my long legs and long arms I just always looked awkward. Can't wait to see this trend go. It's not flattering on most and also kind of gives mean girl.

The sound a cow makes.

The term "moo moo" is a common misspelling or colloquialism, and the correct spelling is mu'umu'u. The word "mu'umu'u" means "cut off" in Hawaiian, referring to the original design of the dress lacking a yoke. While often associated with nightgowns, mu'umu'us are more accurately described as a casual, loose-fitting dress, sometimes worn as loungewear, and can be worn as an alternative to a traditional nightgown.

I loved the Laura Ashley dresses in the 80s, and love the tiered dresses now. They may not look good on me, but they allow the menopausal sweat to evaporate. I mostly wear them at home.

Whatever your spelling it makes the person who wears it look like a cow - so do these prairie dresses. I haven't seen them flatter very many people. Maybe someone who is 5'8"+ and 125 lbs or less with small breasts.

This look is very last year and year prior.

Zara and all the euro brands (which get new fashion first) are showing slip dresses from the 90s. The Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, as other poster stated, is back in.

Looks ridiculous on middle aged women, basically anyone 25 years or older looks like Sister Wife or Laura Ingalls Wilder in that poofy floral mess.
