The people whose top political stance is that children who aren’t old enough to drive or get a tattoo should have the broad right to mutilate their bodies with the help of the medical system because of a religious belief in the transmutation of their gender soul are in no position to be calling anyone cultists. Or dumb, for that matter.

The above poster is the perfect example of an uneducated follower who falls for Fox News propaganda. I don’t know one person whose “top political stance” is allowing kids to “mutilate their bodies.” Rather than blindly letting Fox News scare you into believing Dems want this - along with taking all your guns away, opening the borders for rapists and murderers, aborting newborns, stealing all the white people’s jobs, eating neighborhood cats, etc etc - why not do some actual reading and learning about our real agenda (spoiler - they are none of the above). You might learn something about humanity, society and integrity. So again, lack of education and propaganda is what leads to blind following.

You are a cultist.

And I’m not a Republican, and your Fox News line is stupid and ignorant. I’m a very disillusioned Democrat who is appalled at what my party supports, and who has literally read and understood the horrifyingly bad studies used to prop up medicalized youth gender transition.

You are the one lacking humanity and integrity. You are the one who is grotesquely anti-science. You are the one who has adopted radical religious beliefs and demanded the Democrats adopt a cult gender religion as its party platform, exiling and purging anyone who even tried to raise the mildest alarm.

And all of us outside of your cult can see it. But you have made strict adherence to your cult beliefs a loyalty test to the Party, and you are so deep in your cult radicalism that you will sacrifice the entire Party before you admit the horror of what you’ve supported.

And THAT is why people think that vile corrupt fascist in the White House is good, because it’s people like you that are the comparison.
This is exactly the point. You are democrat and you freely criticize the democrat policies and democrat politicians. I'm with you on much of that. The point is republicans don't vocally criticize their leaders or even policies they don't agree with.

If you say both sides are wrong about some policies. Yes both sides are. But if you say both sides care about ethical leaders. No, republicans don't care about having ethical leaders.

Find me a Democratic politician that has been speaking openly and without party condemnation about the lack of medical ethics or science behind medicalized youth gender care. Show me the speeches, the strong stands taken, the fight to stop iatrogenic harm to children. Show me the Democratic politicians condemning the blue state laws that allow a parent’s refusal to medicalize their child to be an argument against custody. Show me the Democratic politician that has spoken out against allowing teens to get medicalized gender affirming care without parental consent. Show me the Democratic political leaders that fought to stop what is going to be seen on fifty years as a horrifying medical scandal perpetrated against the most vulnerable of children. And then, if you can even find a single Democratic politician to do this, show me how that politician was supported by the supposedly good party for their strong moral and ethical stance to protect children. Show me the Democratic leaders that protected those brave politicians.

Once you’ve done that, maybe I’ll believe you about how the Democrats are so ethical, so upstanding, so interested in protecting the vulnerable, so good. Until then, no.

Oh, I see now. This isn't really about Democrats at all, you are just the raving anti-trans poster that keeps periodically popping up to try and hijack every thread to want it to be about your hatred of trans people until you end up getting kicked off or getting the thread locked.

Ugh. That poster is on so many threads, obsessing and obsessing and obsessing and obsessing and obsessing. All their posts are the same thing over and over, like a hamster stuck on a wheel. It’s simultaneously boring and tragic.

Nobody has that level of single-issue, burningly obsessive hatred unless it’s an issue that affects them personally. The “refusal to medicalize child being an argument against custody” and “medicalized gender care without parental consent” is such an oddly specific hill to die on. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a custody battle going on over a child who’s questioning their identity.

You can continue to believe there is a single person who posts about this at your peril. Certainly that’s what the Democrats want to believe, even if it destroys them again and again in the voting box.

There is an article in the NYT on this topic today and the comments are overwhelmingly on the side of what you ignorantly believe is a single person here at DCUM. But sure, it’s just one person. 🙄

That MAGA is reading and quoting NYT is the only thing hanger-on-Dems need to finally quit their subscription. A growing percentage of us have been trying to tell you.

When the Left convinces you to have your kid mutilated, you will never admit you were wrong about this. The Left owns you.

Ludicrous nonsense. He didn't sacrifice billions.

You have this big list. I remember in his first term, liberals bragging about how Trump's net worth had dropped by billions.

Hey now, stick to the approved DCUM narrative.

One of my deep frustrations about trans rights as an issue is precisely this inability to recognize and acknowledge just how isolated and out of touch people like DCUM Democrats are on the issue of trans rights. Trump is destroying this country and yet DCUM Democrats refuse to accept reality.

Look at the comments on this article: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/13/us/politics/democrats-transgender-rights.html

They are overwhelmingly on the side of the posters that PPs insist are lone wolves, obsessed, isolated, etc. Do the PPs believe all of these comments are a single person spamming the NYT? Do they credibly believe DCUM Democrats represent an electoral majority of any sort on this issue? It’s flatly delusional.

“Trump is destroying this country, but I’m going to completely ignore that and get mad at Democrats about pronouns”.

But it’s everyone else who’s delusional. Mmmkay.

Unfortunately for you, the bolded in fact appears to be where we are politically now as a country, particularly in swing states. I know you are utterly unable to face reality, but please try.

Anonymous wrote:To me, one hint that a lot of this stuff is pageantry is how they fake-decline the pronouns, like there's so much right to explaining how to us third-person singular masculine or feminine pronouns. "Here, just so you have it handy, the object form is 'him.'" {I nod thoughtfully and record it in my notebook.} Additionally, the common practice of doing "he/him/his" and "she/her/hers" is grammatically really weird. The only way these three pronouns make sense is if the order they go in is subject/object/independent possessive pronoun. But it makes no sense to provide an independent possessive pronoun (which is used only infrequently) while not listing the dependent possessive pronoun (which is used all the time). The reason, of course, is because people don't want to say "she/her/her" or "she/her/her/hers", so they just go with what sounds good and pretend it's oh so grammatically rigorous.

I will have unimaginable respect for the first person I see whose email signature block says "he (but no declensions please)." I will buy he a drink!

What is this mumble jumble?

Grammar Nazi.

Attention to detail is a useful proxy for analytical rigor. If something this objectively illogical escapes notice, maybe the crew should trap the breaks on rewriting one of the fundamental postulates of human biology.

“Trap the breaks”? Did you mean tap the brakes? Or are you rewriting the fundamental postulates of grammar?

I'm the person you're quoting. Lol nicely played; typo on my part.

Keep power away from democrats by whatever means necessary. They're control freaks.

Ludicrous nonsense. He didn't sacrifice billions.

You have this big list. I remember in his first term, liberals bragging about how Trump's net worth had dropped by billions.

Both of those things are true.

His net worth did drop, because the COVID pandemic hit his real estate, hotel and resort businesses causing him a loss of revenue. Additionally, he had $590m in loans that came due, plus J6 damaged his relationship with brokers and lenders. But at the same time he was grifting and ripping the government off to try and offset his losses. So during his first term he went from around $3 billion to around $2.3 billion. His losses were absolutely not "altruistic sacrifices made in order to serve the people" or any such nonsense.

During Biden's term his grifting accelerated, with Truth Social and other crap boosting his net worth to around $5 billion. And since he took office for his second term he's gone to around $6.4 billion in net worth.

Now you’re claiming to speak for every single swing voter in every single swing state, who all magically think just like you and share your same extremely specific obsession. Like PP said: delusional.
