Almost every non-immigrant black person has a not insubstantial amount of European ancestry because of the widespread sexual violence experienced by enslaved women and later in the south (there’s a great Netflix doc called the rape of recy Taylor that touches on this). So when they have kids it’s a crap shoot. I am black my husband is white I have one kid with super light curly hair who is lighter than Meghan and another who is my complexion with silky straight jet black hair.

Her mom has fairer skin and some European features. Given the history of African Americans odds are very, very good that Meghan's family tree on her mom's side includes some white, European genetics in its trunk. Meghan is most likely not half black, but a mix of mostly black with some European on mom's side, and white European on dad's side. Her kids are a mix, with European genes being the prominent gene in their genetic heritage, at least 75% of their makeup, likely more depending on Meghan's mom's heritage.

Genetics are weird, and it appears that genetically, the Europen traits from both parents are the dominent gene, ar least from the shots of skin and hair posted by Meghan of her kids. That is not racism, that is just genes and dna.

Fwiw, I have a similar biracial makeup as Meghan, and one of my kids is a strawberry blonde with green eyes. The german in my dad's background must have connected with the german in my husband's background to produce a kid that is far whiter and blonder than either one of us, with the coloring of my great grandma on my dad's size. Genetics are funny in that way.

Harry's family tree almost certainly is 100% white European, with a sprinkling of inbreeding. Meghan's family tree is most certainly not 100% African, and is most likely majority white European based on the likelihood of one of her African American grandparents having European genetics based on the history of African Americans in this country and her dad being European white.

The Royal Family is supposed to embody and inspire Great Britain since they don't have any actual power now. At least that is how QE2 saw her role and did her best to instill that into Charles and William. Charles has too much baggage to be taken that seriously but William has more potential to play that role more than any other current member of the family. The monarchy isn't about the person, it is about the country.

Meghan and Harry never understood that. Especially Meghan. Yet they are trying to cosplay royalty in America by keeping their titles and expecting top security and making meaningless virtue-signalling statements, but on the other hand they are out there accepting awards (which real royals actually hand out, not accept) and posting undignified posts on social media. They are a mess and only thinking about themselves, not who they are representing. There are other royal family members from other countries who have moved to America and are living low-key lives. It can be done.

I was responding to someone who said they were capturing a fun light hearted family moment. But they weren't. They were creating content.
