PP here - rankings app says they should have won today 5-1 so maybe they did lose their striker. |
Yes, they lost a goal scorer. |
A goal scorer? 1-0 seems like they lost THE goal scorer. Better luck tomorrow! |
I don’t understand how FVU and Connecticut even got matched up in the showcase. I thought teams with similar records were supposed to play each other. Connecticut’s record is 2-11-1. They’ve only won 2 games this year. |
Isn’t Legends from SoCal there? Penn Fusion got the top 10 schedule not Union I wonder why |
Do not read too much into this Both Union and Bethesda had some girls that played in the ECNL All Star Game today and were not allowed to play today. |
Union 10s were missing 1 player to the NSG. Bethesda 10s weren’t missing anyone. |
Union 10s tied CSA and VDA to win MA on a fourth tiebreaker. That’s hardly dominant. |
Why you so mad bro? You keep reupping this thread. Turn the page. Let your kid do her. |
3 strong teams facts. CSA won again yesterday, wishing MA success in San Diego! |
Do rankings even matter if our Virginia teams can’t keep up with California teams? FVU 2010s (ranked #5) lost 2-3 vs De Anza Force (ranked 43 in nation) today. Rankings app prediction says they should have won 3-1. |
1. Not a Union parent, but the Rankings App incorporates SOS into the team ranking...that's how the algorithm works. 2. VA teams have a disadvantage at Nationals due to it being in the ECNL off-season for VA. That's a fact. 3. The 10-0 game has been beat to death. It's one game. And this team is a lot different this year due to Brave/Union merger as the top 2010s from both teams went to FVU (see current high ranking). |
What is SOS? |
Strength of schedule |
They matter because it will work that into the algorithm, and it will affect both teams ranking. Also, while it seems like 5 and 43 are really far apart, in the ratings world of 2000+ teams per aga group, they actually aren't. Finally, one game can go either way. It's the overall compiled data that is important and why the rankings app is useful. |
