Trump on “illegal protests”

Anonymous
Orange Baboon?? What is that.

Anyhow, the point is these students will not go off campus. This ain’t the jewish kids traveling to the south for civil rights in the US

This is Tic Tok generation protest. The students also had weird rules about what members of the would engage: It was very strange and student-centric. It was different form of “protest” and camp outs. Some of the camping sites allowed non students. It was all very different.

Now these groups are getting difficult consequences. It’s not the 80s, 90s, 2000s or 2010s. Certainly not the sixties. Those jewish kids were AWESOME!

In sum, this is “protest light.” It was fun. They skipped class. A lot of students in other counties also skip class to protest.

Actually the students refused to talk to the press.

The New York Times then gave the students an opinion section (or a lot of print space- with little editorial oversight) remember that ??!

It was unusual.

I don't care if if I agree with the content of the protests, any protests, on campus.

If they assault people and break the law via vandalism, campus police, local police and the administration will handle it.

Trump has NO business threatening funding and free speech.

This is overreach

Those who are okay with it now because they support the outcome have decided that the U.S. is not the place for them.

MAGA was always a mirage. If you want your holodeck so you can cosplay the 1950s again it's going to cost you your uniquely American freedoms. Some are fine with this of course.

I REALLY, REALLY wish they would. This is unbelievable.

The opposition to Potus held signs for everyone to see (especially the surprised audience!) Only a few wore masks on their faces, but it did not appear coordinated

A great idea and I just called my House member asking him to wear a mask and also called Jeffries office asking him to ask all Democrats to wear a mask tonight protesting trump screaming about "illegal" protests

You realize that many states have laws banning wearing masks while committing a crime? This was in response to the KKK. Do you support the KKK wearing masks now?

Is peaceful protesting a crime?

Breaking into buildings and holding workers hostage as happened just last week is a crime.

What are you talking about?

Sorry Jewish person, I know you are hugging Trump right now because you think he is your path forward.

We've got bigger fish to fry.

I am Jewish too. I support Jewish students being able to learn free from antisemitism which is rampant now on college campuses, harassment and intimidation in the US. I am not hugging Trump but do support his standing up for Jewish students. I recognize the complete hypocrisy of him condemning protestors after the assault on Democracy of Jan 6. Let’s take support where we get it. It doesn’t mean we have to like or support him in general.

The protests were over the war crimes of Israel. Criticizing Israel and Netanyahu is not anti-semitism

Jewish students were harassed and threatened during these protests. There are multiple lawsuits and Title VI complaints from Jewish students across the country currently in progress. If you genuinely don’t know this, please do some research. Here are a few of many examples from the past 18 months:

The lawsuit regarding UPenn was just tossed into the oblivion.

NEW: Federal Judge Dismisses Antisemitism Lawsuit Against Penn

A federal judge has tossed out the lawsuit filed by Jewish students and the group Students Against Antisemitism against the University of Pennsylvania, sharply criticizing their sprawling complaint.

In a scathing 20-page opinion, Judge Mitchell Goldberg wrote that the students’ 111-page filing was bloated with “a wide variety of general allegations, complaints, historical and current events, and alleged antisemitic incidents that allegedly took place not just on Penn’s campus, but elsewhere in the United States and the world.”

He stated: “It is unclear why Plaintiffs’ counsel deemed it necessary to allege so many unrelated facts.”

Judge Goldberg found that while the students claimed Penn had tolerated antisemitism, they failed to show “any actions or positions which, even when read in the most favorable light, could be interpreted as antisemitic with the intention of causing harm.”

The judge noted, “At worst, Plaintiffs accuse Penn of tolerating and permitting the expression of viewpoints which differ from their own.”

Zionists will not stop. their entire existence is based on historical revisionism.

Here is a reminder from Miko Peled, former IDF Special Forces, on what this violent conflict is all about, “Israel is staging a prolonged assault on the Palestinian people’s very means of existence—destroying homes, hospitals, sanitation infrastructure, food and water sources, schools, and more. To understand the genocidal campaign unfolding before our eyes, we must examine the roots of Israeli society. Israel is a settler colonial state whose existence depends on the elimination of Palestinians. Accordingly, Israel is a deeply militarized society whose citizens are raised in an environment of historical revisionism and indoctrination that whitewashes Israel’s crimes while cultivating a deep-seated racism against Palestinians.”.
