Dark, soulless, cruel energy taking over the USA

This is silly.

I live outside the Beltway.

I’m a straight cis person with a house of worship.

None of the people in my circle has a government job. I’m the lowest-income person I know, but I’m the most familiar with and the most sympathetic toward libertarian arguments. I can respect the idea of Elon Musk or someone like that trying to analyze and streamline spending, with some freedom from the usual red tape.

But my friends are all completely terrified by what the Trump-Musk-Vance tri-archs are doing to federal employees, the way they’re ignoring ALL federal laws and procedures, and what the tri-archs are doing to the Treasury, our military and iur relationship with the EU.

We’re petrified about what this means for other kinds of everyday freedoms.

If we seem quiet, I think that’s because the assumption is that the tri-archs have probably hacked all of our phones and have us under surveillance. I don’t think this is a situation where people can participate much in meaningful demonstrations and stay alive. I think the only possible hope is that patriotic Republicans in Washington figure something out.

The rug has been pulled out from all of us and most are too ignorant to notice, or won’t put down their social media apps to really research and figure out the truth and the propaganda aimed at manipulating how they think. And the right has hijacked every single notion about the United States. We are unrecognizable to the world. The economy is tanking. Job losses. AI taking over. An autistic, narcissist has taken over the government without repercussion. It’s also too expensive to live unless you are a millionaire or billionaire and all of those people couldn’t give a rats ass about the rest of us. How nice it must be to not care, eh? To live in those gilded cages (and underground bunkers btw) while everything else suffers. Unless a miracle happens, the United States and any ethics, morality, diplomacy, is gone. But that’s the the maga way, isn’t it. Blind everyone into stupidity. Push the hate narrative. The fake narrative. Push the Propaganda 101 of repeating narratives non-stop, even though they aren’t true, every though they hurt us all, because in the end people start believing them and questioning anything else but that. We’ve been check-mated. The right is complicit. SCOTUS is of no use and on maga’s side. We are never coming back from this. So buckle up America. Or prove me wrong.

Not seeing this in the south. Growth is everywhere. Companies are moving here. Jobs are available. Restaurants are opening.

Shoe your proof, liar. Data since 1/20/25.

Wait until the brain drain starts in earnest from red to blue states and from the US to abroad.

There is a reason that the red welfare states are last in education.

Are you the person who blathers about the brain drain from the US to abroad but cannot identify what occupations would be part of the brain drain and to which countries they would -- drain.

Do you think poor latinos support sending hundreds of millions out to third world countries for transexual puppet shows, circumcisions, and farmers to grow poppy that comes back into the US as cocaine? $2.7 of Social security and Medicaid benefits paid out to people who didnt qualify in foreign countries? The only people who are angered by this waste and happy to cut it out is DCUM and politicians (on both sides of the aisle) and their cronies who are involved in this racket. People around here need to get a grip!

The problem with this is none of it is true.

No, you just think it’s not true. These are revelations that are coming out as a part of the DOGE audit. Buckle up buttercup!

What is your source? Musk says so?
Let's say all of this is true. A few things are wrong with your argument. One, even if there is all of this fraud and waste, the way to go about it is congressional oversight, not a member of the executive branch taking an ax to funding that congress passed.

Two, you are so ignorant about the purposes of these projects. Take the trans thing in Guatemala or whatever. The point is to keep those people there and prevent refugees from coming to America to seek asylum. This is soft diplomacy 101. We have always used small dollars like this to strengthen our interests in these places. You don't understand this because you are an uneducated idiot.

Three, this represents about 0.00001% of our federal budget. Less. It's meaningless. You want to talk about reform? Let's cut off the fake disability payments that MAGA in red states live off of.

Millennials declaring they want boomers to die so they can take their job was what clued me in.

How do you even tie your shoes in the morning.

We bought our house in Arlington about ten years ago and the neighbors in our 30 to 40 year old age group constantly say they want the boomers to die so that their friends can buy in the neighborhood. If you can tie your shoes, you should know of this intergenerational envy/hate.

Maybe they just want you to die. I can see their point.

He’s mixing meds. Musk is fair game.

2) Please do not demonize autistic people because of one horrible man.

No one deliberately targets autistic people.

It’s obvious something is off with Elon. Don’t know if it neurological or mental!

And it’s seriously amazing that someone like him has become the richest man in the world.

He has a brilliant mind (in certain area) that makes him the richest person on earth. But with that exceptionality comes the traits (if he is on the spectrum) that he is not in part or very struggle in social norm. And thats the real danger because he wants to be the leader of general population that doesn’t think, view the world and behave like him.

And this is how it started; people feeling sorry for him due to his neurodivergence. Not realizing he was in fact an evil villain!

Are you spamming every topic with this anti-neurodivergent hate? Or is this the troll
farm’s new taking point?

Elon Musk was raised by racists and nazis. He was then given an enormous amount of money and told that he’s brilliant despite much evidence. He was raised to be a greedy, unethical, hateful narcissist. This has nothing to do with ADHD or autism.

He is the affluenza poster boy.

I think the dark, cruel energy is extremism on both sides. The far left and extreme right have more in common than ever these days-full of hate and unwilling to listen to opposing views. Bring back open discussion and spirited, but respectful disagreement. Be mindful of propaganda from foreign countries and offer more moderate candidates from both parties.

There can be mass graves full of smart people here.

There can’t be much brain drain of Americans without dual national statu.

There are too many of us, and no one will want us.

The EU will take a few AI experts and then slam the door shut.

Some of us with EU citizen spouses might get work looking after the elderly.

do you think an agency that was created by Trump that has had no congressional approval or oversight whatsoever should be making all these decisions? They’ve decided in a matter of a couple of weeks that all of these agencies, programs employees are not necessary. Many of these programs that have had their budgets approved by Congress. Never mind the dire situation that they left many of these USAid employees in. It’s beyond atrocious.

How long does it take to know transsexual puppet shows in Iraq are an improper expenditure of taxpayer money? Or better yet, tell us how you and your family is benefiting from the usaid/ngo/501c3 grift. Are you connected with the circumcisions in Mozambique?

The right has always been dark and soulless. They thrive on misery, as is often seen in posts here.

Was dark, soulless, and cruel energy taking over the USA when feds, nurses, doctors, and military were being fired for not taking a vaccine that was only available under a EUA? For kicking people out of public places for not wearing a cloth mask that was demonstrated to protect one from exactly nothing. For forcing small businesses to shut down and lose their income but allowing big box stores to remain open. For sentencing children for years of lost leaning and being left behind in school skills to pander to the teacher's unions who wanted teachers to stay home However, remove funding for sesame street in Iraq, and several other foreign boondoggles and you have a meltdown. You do not have the moral high ground here.

Link the actual expenditures and I will explain to you why they are good for Americans. Not "well I say this guy on TikTok", I mean the real explanation of the expenditure from a reputable source and I will explain each to you.

This is crazy. I live in a deep blue area across the country from DC and nobody I know thinks or believes this. You need anxiety treatment.

Most of the boomers are blissfully unaware of how lucky they were to have been able to support their families on a single income with a stay at home mom, to be able to attend college and send their kids to college for much less than today, to be able to spend their entire career at one company and retire with a comfortable pension, to be able to have cheap healthcare and so on. The rest of us, from Gen X on down have had no such luxury.
