Has anyone actually been accepted to Bloom since the Foxhall news? I called for an appointment the when I was 5 weeks pregnant and was told they could not accept me.

Yes (was on waitlist for a few weeks) — I had already established care elsewhere though so passed. I think I got in right when Dr Bren transferred though, so may be harder again now

Does anyone know of any great OBs with experience with high risk pregnancies and deliver at Sibley? I see Sibley MFM but they do not deliver so I need to find an experienced OB for my care and c section.

I was - called after my 10 week appt (Dr. Bren said she was going there at that appt) and put on the waitlist, and got a call about 3 weeks later that they could schedule me. This was Nov/dec timeframe.

I'd call back and ask about the wait-list, hoping they can take you!

Interesting. I called at the end of December when I was 5 weeks. They called me back 2 weeks later saying there was no room in the practice for my due date. Maybe I will try to call back to ask again. I thought it was strange at the time.

I heard they were told they couldn’t stay. Where are they?

I've been at this practice for years and am disappointed by these changes and so many doctors leaving. I've truly had nothing but positive interactions with all of the doctors I've seen through three pregnancies but my favorite was Sarafian who is still dearly missed.

I follow Abraham on instagram and she's starting her own OB practice but I am not hopeful that she'll take insurance. I'm done having babies so may just stick with Foxhall.

I am not convinced it's a viable practice. I used the portal a week ago to try for an April appointment and no response. 3 docs. Looking in Virginia.

I called last week for a yearly appointment and easily got one in April with Pardo. I do think they will probably move their office since they no longer need all that space and services and it will cut rent. I'm past having babies and Pardo was so caring to me during a particular difficult time, I will stick with her as long as I can.

3 of my doctors in just a few years have left from that practice that I had previously used for regular visits and they never took my insurance until late. They had scheduled me in Jan of this year for an annual and didn’t even bother to call me to notify me that the Dr had left the practice…they’ve lost me as a longstanding patient for good.

I loved Dr Malone and still miss her.

Posting just in case anybody knows where Dr. Lightfoote is practicing... I've tried her e-mail three times without response.
