What about CWC?! They are great - far better than Bloom
Does anyone know of any great OBs with experience with high risk pregnancies and deliver at Sibley? I see Sibley MFM but they do not deliver so I need to find an experienced OB for my care and c section.
I wouldn’t deliver at Sibley if you are high risk. As a LD nurse who works at Sibley, they are not equipped to handle serious complications to you and your newborn. If your newborn is in need of advanced care which is often in high risk births, we do not have a high level NICU and your baby and they will be transferred to Georgetown. Because of patient confidentiality I am not at liberty to share but I ‘ve cared for a few patients whose outcomes would have been different if they delivered at a hospital that is equipped for high risk pregnancies and newborns. If you have a non high risk without complications then Sibley is fine.

Yeah, Pardo charged me 140 bucks for a six minute phone call when she called to read me test results. I was driving and could barely concentrate on the call - it's not like it was a scheduled telehealth. My insurance did not cover it despite me having the one insurance she still took.

$86 person here. Guess I was lucky that Lightfoote was on call the weekend I needed an antibiotic. She was leaving so maybe didn't charge me lol.

That's weird...Pardo always calls me regarding my test results and I've never been charged for the calls. I've been a patient of hers for 15 years.

I loved Dr Breen @ Georgetown

Maybe it's different for long term patients they want to keep. I had only been there 2 years. But it seems like crazytown.
I did tell the $86 person that I had liked the care there but all my doctors left so I decided to start over not far from my house. I wished her well and she softened and said you too. Staff must be stressed. Looks like cash flow may be a thing imo.

Abraham is on IG showing her accessories and branding consultant for new office. Obviously going to be expensive.
It's at 3301 New Mexico Ave NW.

It also sounds like she won’t be taking insurance, though I didn’t see her post it explicitly.

Can’t have been news to them when they took me on a few months ago. I don’t have a clear explanation for why they can’t deliver their current patients. Seems switching providers in your second trimester means you go with whoever has room for you.

Probably because their malpractice insurance is way too high. They still when to pay it for 18 years or something crazy once they stop delivering so they are drawing a line in the sand. Blame crappy insurance for not covering r ought for doctors to keep their practice open.

People seem to love bloom.

Insurance premiums are sky high because of our litigious society.

Just wanted to share that I had a good experience with Messinger this week. Practice takes insurance though there is a $50/year administrative fee. Pearl Women's Health in Bethesda.

thanks for sharing all, I just called to schedule my annual and was told that the only person there who takes my insurance now is the nurse practitioner. Has anyone seen her?
