This is very true. Our female counterparts in the US aren't exactly sought after outside the US. Maybe that's why you don't see many female expats in South America or SE Asia.

No, certain parts of the US look like Brazil and Guatemala. I live in Old Town Alexandria, and we are far more like Japan than, say, across the river.

The people and culture are what make it dangerous, not the inanimate objects.
