It seems many Muslims won’t vote for Harris and will stay Home.

And then they will discover how much worse trump will be for them, the hard way.

Muslim here and life long democrat. I can't bring myself to vote for Harris because of genocide. Trump might as well be worse but there is an element of unpredictability in Trump that I'm willing to take this time. I know exactly what Biden/Harris are doing.

Another Muslim here who has always voted democrat. I’ll be voting for Harris because our democracy is at risk.

And yes, many Muslim-Americans vote republican because they are traditionally more conservative.

Which blows my mind, because most of the conservative base really dislikes Muslims in particular.

I never understood this. LGBTQ and progressives are ideologically inclined with Israel but support Palestinians and Evangelicals and conservatives are largely aligned with Muslims.

I think even Hasidic Jews belong in a Palestinian state ideologically more than in Israel. The states should be based on ideological lines not ethnicity

So they aren't going to vote and then the Trump led GOP will want Muslims and recently naturalized immigrants to leave the US. Got it.

Did he get Muslims to leave the last time?

The fear mongering about Trump is weak. Trump is not going to become Adolf Hitler on Day 1. He isn’t going to “destroy democracy” or censor CNN or White House press corps like Biden and the Dems have. He isn’t going to get debate or interview questions in advance like Dems have. He won’t arrest whistleblowers or conspiracy theorists like Dems have. He won’t block a Republican primary process like Dems have. He won’t run for re-election in 2028.

Trump has actually been quite welcoming of political sparring and debate via his combative press conferences. Trump is not looking for media manufactured consent and state sanctioned media like the Democrats. The Democrats are the new Soviets.

Actually Trump did get Muslims to leave last time; had two coworkers who were Muslim (and not US citizens yet) who left and moved to Europe during Trump's first term. This was after the Muslim travel ban in 2017, and they both were afraid if they left the US to visit family, they would not be allowed back in.

One later moved back to the US after Trump left office and came back to our unit.

"According to statistics compiled by the Department of State, more than 40,000 visa applications were denied under the ban. Apart from denying entry for people outside the US, the policy had a serious effect on American Muslims, too.
Pouria Mojabi, who is Iranian American, petitioned in 2017 for his elderly parents to come from Iran to live with him in California because he wanted to spend more time with them, as well as monitor his father’s worsening health.
He said the applications were nearly complete when the final ban came into effect, bringing their plans to a halt. His mother, now aged 70, got a waiver several months later, while his father, aged 71, was put under administrative processing, where he has been ever since. Amid additional pandemic travel restrictions, his mother did not wish to leave her husband behind. By then, she would also have needed to redo her medical exams."

“We haven’t heard anything, they just keep saying it is going through the processing,” Mojabi, 40, told Al Jazeera. “Even with the Muslim ban gone, we are still struggling to figure out a visa for my dad."
