Muslim mayor of Hamtranck, (the only majority Muslim city in the US) gives Trump his endorsement .

Most of younger Muslim Americans are devoted liberal democrats and unlike conservative elders, aren't afraid of LGBTQ community but feel protective of all marginalized minorities and feel a kinship with them. However, many of them won't vote this year as neither candidate is standing up for humanity.

Affluent Muslim Americans tend to vote on financial benefits and feel better served by republican policies.

Many Muslim countries have Women presidents and prime ministers. Us Americans on other hand, never had a woman president.

I know it's hypocritical of me but future of our children is here in this country. I can't base my vote on one single issue of Palestine, more so because both candidates fail miserably on that issue.

Just curious as to why it’s OK that Muslims constantly get attacked for seeing both parties as despicable, warmongering Zionists and are told they deserve what they get, but have to see constant news stories about how more Jews are supporting Trump, and they’re not getting chastised for it? Why is it OK for them to prioritize Israel over America, since that would be the only reason to support a rapist criminal like Trump who tried to overthrow *this* country’s government and is clearly anti-democratic. They’re not attacked for it with the same fervor as Muslims get. ONE mayor doesn’t speak for all Muslims who are rightfully disgusted with both parties. Meanwhile, Jewish people get to be treated like “left behind MAGAs” and act like Biden hasn’t done enough, so they “threaten” to vote for Trump and telling other Jews the Democrats have turned against them. I’m sorry, has Biden not killed enough Palestinian babies for your liking? The absolute nerve.

Now do that thing where you accuse people of antisemitism, meanwhile, this thread full of Islamophobic tropes, is perfectly normal.

The difference is that American conservatives actually support Israel.

Because minorities are always subject to double standards. Liberals are so arrogant that they can't see that they can be just as bigoted as Republicans. If you oppose any part of the democratic party line, its open season to insult you, your culture, your history, religion and values. The democrats on DCUM show their true colors every time.

Too bad the GOP candidate is not running on republican financial policies. Trump will destroy the U.S. economy. This is why traditional/former republicans are voting for Harris.

- a former republican.

I think though there is a better chance for Palestine with Harris. Biden is from an older generation and just has a dated view on the Middle East that no longer comports with reality. There are a lot of voices in government that are not getting a good hearing. Harris will listen to those voices as commander in chief.

Trump will fire everyone in the government and install his expertise-less lackeys.

Why do you think Muslims care about Palestinians? They have kept refugees in camps since 1948.

That is not true. Most of the doctors and engineers in the Arab world are Palestinian descendants of the camps. They speak the best English because of the UN schooling. The trust fund Kuwait and Saudi kids aren’t the ones going to medical or engineering school. It’s all Indian, Pakistani, or Palestinian kids.

Some remain in the camps because their kids were failure to launch, their kids died because Israel bombed the camps
Long ago, they couldn’t succeed to get their family out of the camp so they have to remain on generational Un subsidy but a large majority have taken their family out of the camps and into the US or elsewhere (Latin America, Middle East, even Israel itself).

So they aren't going to vote and then the Trump led GOP will want Muslims and recently naturalized immigrants to leave the US. Got it.

Some have PTSD from witnessing bombings that even with opportunity from kids to leave the camp, they don’t want to live in a building ever again but in a camp by choice.

There are lots of generational traumas people carry as refugees and you’d think of all people Israel would understand that given they had a global diaspora before they had a state

Did he get Muslims to leave the last time?

The fear mongering about Trump is weak. Trump is not going to become Adolf Hitler on Day 1. He isn’t going to “destroy democracy” or censor CNN or White House press corps like Biden and the Dems have. He isn’t going to get debate or interview questions in advance like Dems have. He won’t arrest whistleblowers or conspiracy theorists like Dems have. He won’t block a Republican primary process like Dems have. He won’t run for re-election in 2028.

Trump has actually been quite welcoming of political sparring and debate via his combative press conferences. Trump is not looking for media manufactured consent and state sanctioned media like the Democrats. The Democrats are the new Soviets.

Most of the ultra liberal and conservative Muslim Americans won't vote for democrats in this cycle for two obvious reasons, Israel and LGBTQ.

Meanwhile, moderate Muslims are still voting democrat as they don't see Trump being any better for future of America or American Muslims.

Neither group loves their candidate but they'll vote for the party and hope for the best, just like rest of the Americans are doing.

I wonder why nobody mentions the large Arab Christian population (which is the largest Arab population in the USA fyi) especially the Lebanese population in the Midwest. Given the new developments in Lebanon this week, I’m guessing Kamala can kiss Michigan swiftly good bye.

Lebanese Muslims and Christians will be rolling the dice here with both choices. Trump is very close to Netanyahu but he’s also close with Turkey and Russia and has a new Lebanese Christian son in law. Kamala claims to be anti war but the recent developments prove the Biden admin are out of their depth and can’t contain Netanyahu/Israel and the Gaza war from regionally spreading
