Maybe it keeps reappearing because it's a real thing, and thus worth discussing. Just a thought. Sincerely, Not Slinking Away |
+1 NPR defenders love their echo chambers. |
It’s not. If you actually listened to it you’d hear a variety of stories/perspectives. The right just wants to discredit non-crazy news sources leading up to the election. |
No, it’s not. I was on the ground in Israel during the last war (not the current one) and of all news outlets, NPR was the most egregious in omitting details about anything Hamas did, including the 3000 rockets they fired the first night before Israel responded. A friend called it “National Palestinian Radio.” They may report facts, but only the ones that support their chosen narrative. |
NP. I listened to NPR for years. Eventually I stopped precisely because of what this journalist has written about. |
+1 Same for my husband and me |
Oh are you so brain washed! ![]() |
The detractors are the ones parroting BS things from the RWNJ echo-chambers. Typical projection. |
So what news sources do you use now? |
It is important in 2024 to have something that is not about profit and not owned by some right-wing billionaire. There are no longer good independent news sources available in many local markets. You may not like all of the stories on NPR, but their news segments are fine. People in localities where the local news is all right-wing nonsense and that no longer have a local paper need access to some news that's not BS. |
You are very dismissive of conservative thinking with your "right wing nonsense" comment. It's not all nonsense, and attitudes like yours are one reason NPR is losing listeners and donations. |
We read online sites (Atlanta Journal Constitution, NY Times, WAPO, CNN, Fox News, community news, etc) |
He lost my trust with those comments. |
NPR is awful. I am listening to Hot Jazz Saturday night tight now, but that is all until next Saturday.
It is far more left-biased than Fox is right-biased. When is the last time they hired a straight, white, male Republican? Never. |
above, tight now = right now |
