Tucker out at Fox News????

He has probably made 100 million dollars since getting this prime time slot in 2016; Fox, book deals, and speaking circuit. He should pivot into afternoon radio / podcast. Nobody has really taken over the Rush 12pm-3pm slot.

If he didn't learn his lesson from this he is opening the door to get sued again.

No. You should have learned from Trump. He's a inveterate liar. We do not want liars in the White House.

Politicians are all liars. It must be nice being this naive. Tucker is way more grounded and self critical than most politicians.

Did you forget the/s?

That would be interesting. He doesn’t have a college education and will fight Trump and Death Santos for the MAGA vote. And there are texts of him saying he hates Trump. So, he would be running a distant third for the MAGA vote.

Trucker went to Trinity. He has a degree.

But did he actually graduate, on time? I'm almost positive he's shared something about getting busted cheating his senior year or plagiarizing a paper (he framed the re-telling of this story as a joke, like he was just too lazy to do an assignment or something) and not graduating (at least not with his class). And he also claims he didn't get a CIA job after applying -- while he would have had the perfect resume to get hired. The only reason I could think of would be if he didn't graduate?

He’s more articulate than almost every other cable news anchor I can think of. George Bush graduated from Yale. A college degree does not mean you’re smart or have anything novel to add to a debate.

For those that think Tucker is an idiot because he didn’t graduate or that he’s the sum of a dumb cable news show. His long form debates and interviews are far more interesting. He was/is good friends with Rachel Maddow because he’s a smart person, like her. Disagree with him, but he is not a moron like Trump. Claiming so proves you’ve never heard him outside of news clips or you’re arguing in bad faith.

He routinely talks in interviews about how he’s “just a dumb talk show host,” is very humble about what he knows and acknowledges his privileged upbringing, and basically says he was not only really cares about his family, his dogs, and taking a sauna. In long form interviews he comes across way better than on his show.

He must be working on a great job as the lead at RTV.

Ugh, I almost just threw up in my mouth a little. I am sitting here listening to various people talk about how his lies have threatened his family.
Rep. Eric Swalwell says he repeatedly texted Tucker asking to stop telling lies about him because his family continually gets death threats. Tucker’s response: “stop using your family as a shield” He’s such a piece of s.

Fox is going to have another massive lawsuit settlement to payout with Smartmatic.

And now a former employee is suing them for sexual discrimination.

There was also a massive article in VF a couple of weeks ago (the members of the Murdoch family had obviously cooperated with) basically saying Rupert is senile.

Not a great stretch for the family.

Whoever replaces Tucker will continue to get massive ratings. People claimed things were over when Bill O'Reilly was fired. Obviously not.

[…]

So he’s a traitor with full knowledge of how bad his behavior is. Is that better to you?

With tears in their eyes, calling him "sir."

Interesting that people are reading this as anything else than Fox News shooting itself in the foot. Tucker is one of the only reasons people watch Fox News. There isn’t a cable news anchor out there who carries their network as much as Tucker carries Fox News. This would be like Sirius firing Howard Stern. It’s a loss for Fox News, not Tucker. Tucker will probably sign a record breaking deal at Sirius and have a similar, but bigger, platform than Megyn Kelly along with a podcast that generates millions for him as well. Rumble to Spotify are probably clamoring to sign him to big contracts as well.

You’re grossly overestimating his own ratings and appeal. Don’t conflate right wing apparatus astroturfing and spamming with real life; nor hit pieces propping him up as a right wing boogeyman. He only has 3 to 4 million viewers. How many of those are just 50 to 80 years olds who keep the TV on Fox News whenever it’s on? Probably 90% or more. So if he can hypothetically peel off a couple hundred thousand sycophants, you think he’s going to get a “record-breaking deal”? Daddy Murdoch giveth and Daddy Murdoch taketh. 55 year old Tucker is just another washed up anchor after Fox News and News Corp astroturfing and PR.

I'm pretty sure Dominion was a loss for Fox.

Will losing Tucker hurt Fox? Yes. Would keeping Tucker hurt more? Yes.

One theory is that Rupert watched the Sixty Minutes report last night on R@y Epp$ and saw another giant defamation case coming down the pike. Carlson has repeatedly been “reporting” things on his show that have been deemed false and doesn’t retract them. Ray is one. The “unarmed” January 6ers is another. He said the Russian propaganda that Ukrainian casualties outnumbered those of Russia seven to one as true. He also has praised Orban up and down without ever disclosing that his own father lobbies for Hungary.

LOL

So Tucker is just a partisan mouthpiece and not a journo. Did I get that right?

You have to ask why he was fired. The possibilities:
1. Insulted Trump
2. Insulted mgmt handling of the Dominion Voting News.
3. Putting his objections to the Dominion story in writing.
4. Undisclosed discrimination suit?

None of these things suggest a Fox News that is trying to do better. And unless their audience does a 180, they don't want it to do better. So $$$

What a train wreck. Tucker is done without Fox. He is just a weak and scared man.
