Unpaid leave

I’m not going to read everything but I’ll say that I did this about a decade ago. My husband had a work thing come up combined with a family thing and I needed another 2 months. They said no and I said basically I’m not asking and if the answer is no, I’ll have to quit, and then they said yes. No one really help it against me and I’ve been there another decade since.
But I would say that depending on your job it can be a real imposition on your coworkers, so keep that in mind. And if you’re just doing it to string them out and intend to quit anyway, it’s an a-hole thing to do to them.
