That made me laugh too. Not just that she looked like her, but they seemed similar in personality. Until then, I didn’t understand what he saw in her. She’s much less granola than he is and he said he previously picked those types of women. But in this “experiment” he found someone just like his mom. Love it and hope they work out (though I find Micah problematic for other reasons so it’s doubtful).

The previews for next week have her say "it would only be fair if you go first". Like she'll say whatever he says?

I take that to mean that she is a hard NO but she is giving him the chance to say it first. I think they're both NOs.

No, definitely don't have time for that. Any useful insights come up?

Natalie is more insightful and well-spoken that Deepti. So far, that's all I got, but I am liking it.

Although I certainly didn't like how Deepti was treated, Natalie was my favorite in the cast. Never understood why she liked Shane in the first place though.

In case you were wondering what the big issue was with Jackie, apparently her dad's got cancer and she was going home to help him each weekend, and her brother just got out of prison while they were filming.

These white guys have Asian women in a chokehold. I don’t get it.

Seems like she isn't a good candidate for a reality show, unless she's there to bring drama.

Her lip filler and cheek filler weighs down her face and makes her look so much older. The hair extensions make her look worse. I don’t see what they see in her.

But you also don’t know what she looked like w/out them.

People are always so sure filler makes people look worse, but I would not be so sure.

Anyhow, her entire chin/jaw area is weird and arches upward and it’s not a good look and I feel like she’s always making a weird face.

She was about 18-23 in these pics pre filler and extensions. Much cuter and more natural. Event the hair color is so much prettier.

Wow, SO much prettier!

It also doesn't help.that on the show, I think her makeup is unflattering - just tons of foundation, and those over-the-top eyelashes. I wonder if the makeup.is mandated by the producers - perhaps for lighting reasons? There was one scene where she and Paul were in their hotel room in Mexico, and she was removing her makeup. She looked so much prettier with the foundation off.

I think influencers who are used to controlling how they look on social media (filters etc) don't actually have a good grip on what you should have on your face when you are on TV. What works to create the perfect instagram photo looks garish in person, like stage makeup.

Micah is used to doing perfect photos on instagram and will likely take 200 photos and post one, that she edits. Now she is on a show, she puts her heavy makeup on the same way, but she has no editorial control. She acts like a mean girl and the producers clearly hate her. So the producers get to choose what takes to use, and clearly they were not working on flattering her. My god that scene where she jumped into the natural pool with Paul I swear it seemed like they chose to use the shot that just like, EXACERBATES her cellulite.

So, in essence, the perfect candidate for a reality TV show.

That's the takeaway from Natalie on the podcast, too. She has producers she is still friendly with, and my understanding is that they have a very bad opinion of Micah.

I didn't tear her down. I just feel like she has awful taste in earrings and chased a trend hard. I like her clothes, hate her choice of dog breed, and think she's smart. Everyone isn't either great or awful. There's nuance.

But why are you the arbiter of other's people's choices?

But kind of classless. Like her friends.

Idk there was a very unflattering shot of Bliss's cellulite too.
