Indictment Monday?

Trump must need the rubes to send him money so he lied about being arrested.

If Alvin Bragg loses (and he will), then what?

I would love to see the people of NY get rid of Bragg. Huge overreach and pathetic case.
But, they won't.

It goes beyond Bragg. The country is already a powder keg.

Alvin downgrades or dispenses with serious crimes in the name of equity. He's a Soros protege and funded by him.

This country has 330 million people and some loose screws. Play some scenarios over in your mind.

This could get ugly and once it does, it doesn't stop on command. Now what? You're basically pissing down the throat of half the country.

Do you see where it's going?

Well obviously we should let Trump break the law over and over again with no consequences since some of his supporters are nutcases.

You can't even cite the law he has broken, so when it blows up in your face, keep your piehole shut.

One broken law is the one that DOJ under Trump prosecuted Cohen for paying hush money at Trump’s request and not reporting it. Trump booked it as a legal fee. It wasn’t.

What law? Do you have a cite? Did the DoJ charge Cohen with violating a federal or a state law? I'm fairly certain that it was federal, which means that the Manhattan DA cannot charge Trump with violating the same law

Trump tried to claim the pornstar payout as a tax deduction. That fraud would apply to both state and federal taxes. Cohen was convicted and served time for his role in the federal tax fraud scheme.

SDNY investigated and passed on it.

“Passed”

Biden has been president for two years now and the statute of limitations has not expired, so yes 'passed'

The statute of limitations has definitely expired on the federal campaign finance crimes. It probably expired in 2021, but certainly by 2022.

Do you have a citation for the statute of limitations?

Remember when you asked if someone could show you the statute of limitations and then people did and it established exactly what we were saying - that is - it had passed by the time a Biden nominee at SDNY could have handled it.

Yea, maybe your skepticism is BS and you are fishing for reasons. Just accept it - Trump committed a crime here. He’s committed tons of other crimes too. It’s looking more and more likely that he will face SOME CONSEQUENCE for being a decades long criminal. The fact that you don’t want him to face any consequences for his crimes is a serious, serious problem with you.

They prosecuted John Edwards for a similar thing, resulting in a mistrial, and then the case was dropped by DOJ.
I think in that case Edwards did list it as a financial contribution, and they argued it was inappropriate use of campaign funds.
Which of course is what liberals would have been clamoring for if Trump had listed this as a campaign contribution.

All Trump had to do was not claim hookers and blow as a business deduction on his taxes.

I wasn’t being snarky, I truly wanted to know what it was.

Eventually we will need a thread for each specific indictment. 😁

Are you sure about that? We’re still debating on any day now happening

Trump said today, so he was not right.

Also it was an illegal unreported campaign contribution since the purpose of the hush money was to prevent it from coming out before the election.

Can you prove that?

If Bragg knew what was best for HIM and for the country, he would drop this investigation altogether.

The testimony from Costello yesterday is very damning for Bragg's "star" witness, Cohen. And, Costello has the receipts.

An indictment and a trial will expose Bragg as the incompetent boob that he is. Because even partisans in NY will not be able to ignore the evidence.

Lol! He was signaling to Russia to get his visa ready. Let people know it’s coming.
