This. It sucks but it is true. And I just can't get up in arms. You want teachers to deal with this but they can't. They did the responsible thing by calling you. But now your kid knows if he threatens this he gets to go home so he is smart kid.

Teachers can, and should, be empathetic.

+1 Also professional. I would be shocked if someone working at McDonald's acted as unprofessional as these teachers did. They show a complete lack of understanding of how to behave at a job.

I'm really sorry OP and hope your child is doing better.
The teachers should absolutely be reported. Their behavior is disgusting, as is the attitude of some of the posters on this thread.
