I missed that there was a sequel, thanks!

I think these may have cult status now, but for awhile it seemed like no one I knew ever saw these

Run Lola Run
A Simple Plan
Freeway
Frailty

“Sneakers,” with, well, everybody

Those who already gave shoutouts to the movies below, you are my people:
Dead Again
Seventh Sign
What About Bob
Sliding Doors
Strange

I didn’t realize Sneakers was obscure, but it’s one of my favorites.

I loved Dead Again and Lone Star, which have already been mentioned. I'll add three of my favorites that I don't think I've seen on this thread:

Girlfight
Beyond the Lights
Murderball

Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened

It is about the original cast of Merrily We Roll Along (which bombed on broadway) and how the experience shaped the cast of then 20-somethings. it is no longer streaming but is great.

I also loved The Sweet Hereafter but I don't think I could watch it again now that I am a parent

Ok here are two romantic dramas I’m obsessed with. Maybe I’m the only fan as I haven’t seen them mentioned:

Waking the Dead - Billy Crudup and Jennifer Connelly
Last Night - Keira Knightly, Eva Mendes, Sam Worthington and Guillaume Canet (hello amazing smile)

Anyone?

Thanks for the reminders about some gems - Flirting w Disaster, Go, Cousins. Oh and Winter’s Bone

- The Gods Must Be Crazy
- The Changeling with George C Scott
I saw this when I was a teen and had so many nightmares. Great movie.

I think a few people saw it when it came out, but for some reason it's impossible to find anywhere so it's been forgotten. It's so, so good. I laughed and cried buckets.

One of my favorite movies! If anyone knows where to stream it please post!

Most of the ones listed were celebrated when they came out or are cult classics, but I appreciate everyone posting them to remind us all of them.

Here's an actual obscure one, and very funny - Kung Pao: Enter the Fist. So bad it's good. My husband and I still quote from it.

Here are some that were popular when they came out but may be forgotten but I still love them:

Dogfight
While You Were Sleeping
Wings of Desire
I Know Where I'm Going
