Are sons missing a genetic gene on caring about their parents?

It's socialization/expectations. My brothers get away with this kind of thing because my parents expect it.

I didn’t read the entire thread. I have two older brothers that live closer to my mom( 80 yo).Dad already passed away. Unfortunately, the oldest is minimally available even though he has no children at home. However, middle brother is always there and available to help out. He does most of the work around her house. His children are also all out of the house.
We live the furthest away, 6 hour drive and have all school aged children so offer what help we can.
