Are you okay with students learning abou CRT

No, we're not okay. That's why we helped vote Virginia into red.

The Onion has the best coverage of the issues that terrorize my fellow white suburbanites.

Virginians Who Watched Schools Taken Over By Sharia Law Refuse To Make Same Mistake With Critical Race Theory

Now that the Virginia governorship has been won, I expect this hot button issue to go back onto the shelf with satanic panic and other nonsense.

Of course I’m ok with it. Why wouldn’t I be?

Of course. They should be exposed to all kinds of things and use their critical thinking skills that’s what college is for

Who is not ok with it? Just because fake fear of crt can be exploited to get votes does not mean people don't want their kids to be educated.

I am sure many youngkin voter are not going to want to send their kids off to college ignorant about history. The Virginia students have to compete with students from states that will offer a more robust and complete education of our challenging american history and our challenging present. No one wants their kids to be at a disadvantage.

False! A racist theory designed to brainwash is NOT fact or history.

Maybe someone could create a set of online courses and post them online for free (e.g. On Coursera). Advertise far and wide. Those who care and want to learn about CRT could do so.

I really don't want to pay for my kids to learn that in college, especially not at 60K/year that I'm paying right now.

No. Not for my kids. It's taking up the space of other more important topics that need to be taught. Teacher's hours aren't fungible.

They don't need to agree with it but my kid is going to know what it is, why it is and how it affected the election for starters.

My DCs brains will be washed in as high quality, complete, nuanced, complex and modern education as i can provide. They will gladly take on whatever backwards ignorant narrow-minded book-banning brain your DC will be bringing to the table.

I'm not because after this past two years, they already know it all. Why waste in classroom instruction over this stuff, which takes away from other areas of study? I don't want to pay for that type of mental programming

Anonymous wrote:CRT is a theory that everything is based on race. And I do mean everything. Everything can be explained by race. PP above used crack cocaine sentences vs. powder cocaine. Crack has a a much higher sentence. If you look at it under CRT it is because crack was largely at the time a black drug and powder was a white drug. So race is responsible for the sentence. But there is another way to look at this. The sentence structure was higher because at the time there was a crack epidemic that was increasing crime level. Not the same with powder. IMO race had zero to do with the sentence disparity. Now after the sentences started, it became clear that heavy sentences were falling on Blacks and that the stiffer sentences were not helping. IMO we took too long to fix that and race had something to do with that as there was no one with power speaking up for this group of Black violators. So race is connected to this story but not really at the start. But if you subscribe to CRT, you do not get into the messy facts; you believe that all decisions taken by any institution are based on race and quite possibly racist.

Do you have statistics on the # of crimes on Wall Street during the 80’s… during the crack epidemic.

It cost our country way more than the petty crimes from crack use.

Pesky facts!

Not sure how this is at all related. Yes there were issues on Wall Street -- connection to what was stated above?

Powder cocaine was rampant on Wall Street. The amount of crime during that time was astronomical. How do you not know this… oh wait okay.

So if I steal a car that is worth $10K and I get caught and I give the car back… I go to jail.

If I hire you yo do $50K worth of work for me, and I can’t afford it… I file chapter 11 … don’t pay you, steal your $$$, don’t go to jail, restructure my company and go in my merry way.

Laws created to protect white people.
