What Do You Need to Fix In Your House That You're Avoiding?

Leaky moldy pipe in basement Needs new windows broken 1st floor toilet soft drywall in upstairs bathroom I can mold with my finger like silly putty back fence is falling apart basement floods |

Whole interior needs to be repainted. Looks old and dingy.

Paint exterior (peeling paint)
new window in kitchen new shower in upstairs bathroom (no water comes out of shower head). Haven't done any decorating since we moved in many years ago... |

| Everything. 1954 kitchen with original stove, counters, sink, disposal, linoleum . . . Original, tiny, pink-tiled bathrooms. . . and clutter - lots and lots of clutter. |

Other than the clutter, I think that's kind of cool. I like retro/vintage stuff, and it's like having your own time capsule right there. Probably better in theory than practice however. I can see how the bathrooms would be a pain. Does the stove work? You don't have a humongous "Frigidaire" like my grandma used to have, do you? |

My house is a dusty mausoleum of inherited freakishly huge antiques and Pottery barn/Restoration Hardware knockoffs. I am soooooo sick of it. The entire interior needs painting. The door strikes in the upstairs rooms are gone or hanging by one screw. There is a small broken pane in the hallway. And 2 broken 1928 toilets. I am paying for a plumber's summer house with all the money I keep hemorrhaging to fix and refix them. And Dh has never picked up so much as a hammer or ever changed a light bulb in this house.
One day I'm going to let every bulb in the entire house blow out one by one until we are in total darkness, just to see what he will do.

My DH constantly goes around turning off every light in the house, even when i need them. it is soooo irritating. |

We are gutting and renovating a house built in 1929.

Need to clean closets in a major way, clothing piled up in both approximately 3 ft
Landscaping in back yard Drainage issue Would like to have wood floors refinished in lighter/natural stain Chain link fence in back yard needs replacing |

| Every wall needs Spackle and paint. We had two separate plumbing leaks into our finished basement and as a result there are holes in both of those ceilings. Not in the house but I have about 20 trees on my property that require trimming. Large dead branches are falling when least expected and I would really like to send the kids out there to play. I also need to remove a cement patio that the last home owners put together. They poured the concrete right on the tree in the center and as the tree has grown the concrete has provided it with a nice skirt. |

Overgrown backyard
Shower leak in guest bathroom (plan to renovate the whole bathroom this year, so it seems like a waste to fix it beforehand) |

Us, too, except our house was built in 1905 but our architect has informed us we have to move out for at least 9 months (which we know means at least a year). F$&@ it! It's liveable. Staying put for now... |

Refinish hardwoods
Replace all windows and exterior doors Repaint in a different color scheme (interior) Major landscape overhaul the list goes on and on..... |

Front steps need doing.
Powerwash the siding an the back deck Somehow get the years of dirt off the hardwoods (maybe needs refinishing, but I don't think so) Repaint/touch up interior paint Find screens for the windows so we can open them on nice days. Steam clean the carpets Would love to get new window coverings/treatments. |
