SJC trainers? |
pretty sure that was a joke. |
| All quiet from the Cadet faithful tonight |
Some don’t know how Speaks handles scrimmages. They aren’t trying to win scrimmage championships. I’ve never seen a team make a post with a scrimmage score. Must have meant something to STM. lol Game 1 - March 5 |

Landon vs BL
I have watched the Bears for a long time. They did not "beat BL in every facet of the game" as a previous poster stated. BL dominated the faceoff x. But otherwise, this was a different Landon team than the one I have watched lately. They played well between the lines. They cleared efficiently, played a lot of kids at D and midfield, pressured and scored in transition, and finally moved the ball instead of playing hero ball. Hats off to the Bears. The season begins next week, so we can talk about games not scrimmages. On another note, the small speedster, 22, did his best C. Clark immitation and scored from "the logo" in the waning seconds of the first half. I bet BL would have liked that one back. He had a similar long range goal two or three years ago. |
It maybe the only game STM wins this year. How embarrassing they are posting on social media they won a scrimmage game. |
| Agree posting scrimmage results on social media accounts is weak! |
is STM really supposed to be that down this Spring or is this more Spalding parents throwing mud at the Saints program? The Saints been very good the past 5+ seasons. Maybe not on the level of McDonogh or BL but Saints have been in the MIAA Final 4 now for several seasons. |

It’s just funny…the SJC faithful are on here killing everyone for how they perform in scrimmages. Now SJC gets beat in a scrimmage and it’s that we don’t understand how Speaks handles scrimmages. Got it. Please educate us on why scrimmages matter for others but not SJC. By the way…I heard that the SJC first team played into the 2nd half and didn’t look very good. But let’s move on here. Every team has to work through some early season sloppiness and injuries. There doesn’t look to be a dominant team this year and it should be interesting to see how things play out. I can’t wait for the real games to start so we can stop all the scrimmage nonsense. |
| PP is correct. Landon looked great everywhere but at the X. Both of the top two fogo starters are out with injuries. If the bears plan to have a breakout season they will need to have those guys at X in order to get that high powered offense the ball. |

Let’s move on from scrimmage “talk”
All teams are trying to figure out which combinations of players / which schemes work best. Speaks has proven he is one of the best based on the cadets results the past few seasons. The season starts next week for the big boys. I can assure you SJC will likely remain as one of the elite programs in the DMV this spring. |
Wondering how St. John’s faithful always get the credit for being present at other teams scrimmages. People must be dedicated to watching HS lax. lol |
How so? |
+1 all quiet on military road. Speaks will get exposed this year. |
