Now, if you were there and you found out you were lied to, what are you going to do about it?

Lied to by who?
The republicans being prosecuted for trying to overturn our election?

By Fani the Fraud.
She claims to have paid the prosecutors she hired the same hourly rate. Records indicate this is not true.

The public in Fulton County are getting fed up with Fani. They are speaking up at the Fulton County Board of Commissioners meetings.

Not following.
What does that have to do with the charges brought against Trump and his cohort?

Is Trump’s Georgia prosecution about to get derailed?

"Moreover, to the extent Willis continues to avoid directly addressing the allegations against her, presiding Judge Scott McAfee can — and should — ensure that the record is clear on what actually happened here, even if that requires him to hold evidentiary hearings.

That could involve the submission of sworn affidavits or even live testimony from Willis and Wade about the nature of their personal and financial relationships, including whether Willis reimbursed Wade for trips that they appear to have taken together. Needless to say, this would be extremely embarrassing, which is yet another reason for Willis to try to stop the bleeding.

As for the fallout for Trump, that of course will depend on the judge’s assessment of the facts and the relevant legal and ethical issues. I do not envy him. If the allegations are basically correct and Willis’ office ends up being disqualified from handling the prosecution, it is possible that the case could be reassigned to another prosecutor in the state.

One suggestion in recent days, made by Trump critic Norman Eisen, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, has been that Wade should step down from the case in order to end this controversy. That may be a perfectly fine and appropriate step to take, but it will not fully resolve the problems here or the serious concerns that are now in the air concerning Willis and her professional judgment."

Fulton County Commissioners have put a hold on a $600,000 request from Fani Willis for 16 vehicles.
They want questions answered first. Fani Willis has yet to provide comment.

Imagine being Georgia’s most renowned RICO prosecutor, the guy who literally wrote the state’s RICO statutes…and then finding out the ambulance chaser who is bagging your boss has made 9x more money than you.

If he had an ounce of self respect he would resign.

MAGA would love that. Of course, if he does have self-respect, he wouldn’t let that happen.

Clearly there’s a campaign out here. I can’t believe the administer of this forum is letting it be used for propaganda like this. Last I saw the transcripts of the prosecutor’s divorce do not mention Willis. This has nothing to do with the massive felonious election fraud these Republicans committed.

Lawyer jokes aside, why do you assume he’s only doing the case for the money / if he actually believes Trump is guilty and that his expertise can be of use in proving that, why would it be a sign of self-respect to resign?

Seems like that would only prove he’s no better than an ambulance chaser with no self respect.

Anyone with half a brain knows Trump is guilty.

Which is why republicans have adopted the "look squirrel" strategy.

It’s not just the affair. She sent him to meet in person with the Biden White House Counsel 2 times. Wade billed $4000 combined for those meetings. What were they discussing that couldn’t be said on a recorded videocall or via email?

Also, did they meet with any Democrat operatives or donors when they went to Napa, California?

NEW - Fani Willis accused a Fulton County Board Commissioner of being racist when she asked about Nathan Wade.

"The allegations are frightening."

"When I asked her about the Nathan Wade expenditures, I was told that I was just picking on him because he's black."

"I've never met him, and I have nothing against him. The taxpayers need some clarity on that if we are going to provide her a larger budget."

When Commissioner
@thornbrid
asked
@FaniforDA
to provide transparency on the cost of the case to taxpayers, Fani Willis responded:

"Lady Justice has no price."

"As Commissioners, we need to know how much this is costing us."

H/T to
@MarcoPolo501c3
for flagging this testimony from the Fulton County Board of Commissioners hearing.

So? Obviously they had to meet with the WH counsel. Trump was claiming executive privilege over every scrap of paper. They needed the privilege holder to ensure they would waive any privilege.
