lol. Because Michigan AYSO is exactly where we expect the official announcement to be released. No offense but c'mon ppl. Look at all this insanity. When there is something to know, we'll all know it at the same time. Just chill. ECNL hasn't been unclear about what's coming so you can either look into the chicken bones or you can just listen to the podcast. Change is coming. Details are on the way. Lower level leagues will probably screw up the rollout and try to satisfy everyone. In the process making everyone crazy. We know how this goes...

Was told today by ECNL director
No RL/ECNL/US club players can play GA starting next season and clubs will be in violation and risk being kicked out.

Also starting next year Jan 26 ECNL/RL teams will be given flexibility season to roster up to 4 Aug to Dec players that will also be eligible to compete at nationals.

What a load of baloney.

1st ECNL has no say over GA rules
2nd Your ECNL kid can play on GA teams no issue.

Your director is just trying to scare you from playing on GA teams.

ECNL allows GA players to play on their teams via the Discovery program and GA allows ECNL players to play on their teams. However once rostered you can only play a certain number of games before you must commit to being full time on that team.

You don’t read well do you. ECNL will NOT allow it anymore. They are trying to weaken GA. They do not want their players pumping up the Ga platform.

Any ECNL/rl club with players who break the rule will risk being kicked out and the club losing its status.

ECNL can say whatever they want.

They dont define GA rules.

Your club director is trying to scare you from checking out and playing on GA teams. They dont own your kid you can play wherever you want.

You’re a slow fella.
They aren’t defining GA rules? They are cracking down on players and clubs who break ECNL rules.

Well fella show me the rule that states that ECNL players carded by US Club cant also play GA and be carded by USSSA.

Also please inform me exactly how this rule will be policed considering that US Club and USSSA are completely independent of each other and do not work together in any way.

Or your club director is trying to scare parents into not checking out GA. (Wonder why?)

GA Team A uses 3 ecnl players GA team B loses and knows this and reports them to ECNL that these players are playing in the Ga league. I don’t think the ECNL umbrella clubs will risk their standing in ECNL so players can play Ga.

So youre suggesting that ECNL has put together some kind of internal team to field complaints from (not sure who) and action on them?

Or ECNL doesn't care if players play for GA. But, club owners do care if ECNL players play for GA clubs because they lose money. To address this your club owners have told your club director to scare parents by saying that they'll be kicked out of ECNL (the local club) if they play GA. (Unless of course the player is a superstar and is famous or scores goals at will.)

Do you understand yet? Its not ECNL cracking down on players playing for GA. Its your own club being greedy and saying if you play for anyone else we'll kick you out and likely try to keep all the money youve paid for the season.

ECNL is going to send something formal out to their clubs that if players on RL/NL rosters are playing for GA then there will be consequences for those clubs and players. That’s the deterrent enough for them.

What people do doesn’t matter to me.

What's odd is on the boys side ECNL is second tier behind MLSN. They have no sway in MLSN decisions. Also if theres 2 options of the same thing MLSN2 + ECNL most would choose the one that's more closely tied to MLSN1.

The girls side is arrogant. Because ECNL girls is the most elite league for youth soccer in the world?

Well at least through omission youre admitting that ECNL is not the top tier for boys.

Who thinks ECNL is top tier for boys?

It depends where. In Texas, the top ECNL clubs are better than MLSN P2P and on par with the MLSN Academies.

This is the truth. ECNL Texas way better than MLS Next in Texas, and ECNL-RL is miles better than Texas 2.

I doubt it because that would show weakness + ECNL acknowledging that GA is a threat.

Well regardless that’s going to suck because my daughter plays at an RL club and plays with Ga also.

For the 25/26 season there is also a new rule that a fully rostered GA player can no longer play for an ECNL team either. Multiple high level kids were trying to do both in certain areas so it sounds like they are cracking down on it from both sides.

Big showdowns coming.

Everyone will want to be on the Playoff teams... No reason to pay for non playoff clubs as they are money pits.

You’re wrong there. No one will want to pay for non playoff Ga teams. The majority of people will continue to pay for girls ECNL teams playoffs or not.

If things true and GA doesn’t have some giant plan to reveal this will kill GA from a top league standpoint.

I think it’s underestimated how many players from other leagues guest play for GA teams at showcases or nationals.

Obviously there are some talented put together teams but in my experience as a GA parent and ECNL parent girls at both clubs. GA needs guest players to be competitive ECNL does not.

Since when has GA been considered a top league?
