American Idol results show last night

Can not even believe it still! So upset!

I know...I felt really bad for her because I don't think anybody could have expected that. I am sure she was not ready...I was a little surprised they used the save so early (although I do like Casey) and wish they could have saved her. I wanted Stefano or Hailey to go home!

I was surprised she went home so early because Pia has a great voice and is so beautiful. I didn't think she would win though because she was incredibly boring and showed little to no personality. She should know that based on the fact that people like Taylor Hicks can win... there is more to American Idol than singing well and looking pretty.

Well, it's not like the judges are helping at all. According to them, everyone was amazing.

And I think Idol won't see another female winner. All the votes are probably coming from tween girl power-voters picking whatever cute boy strikes their fancy.

I agree, which is crazy since the most successful winners from the show were women

While I agree that many of the votes are probably tween girls, I do not think that means a female can't win. Tweens at the time voted for Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson!

Stefano, Paul, Casey or Hailey should have gone home before Pia. I agree that she doesn't seem to have very much personality though and that was probably her downfall. I've never voted for an American Idol contestant, but I think I might next week in the hopes of getting Hailey kicked off. I don't know why I hate this girl so much. She's tacky, trampy, faux-sexy and dresses like she's going to an 80s costume party.

I so agree. And why was Jacob also in the bottom 3??? Jacob and Pia are my two faves! They are both just phenomenal.

I'm new to Idol but DH has been watching it for years. He said there are people who hate the show and hack the voting to try to get the best people off. That is the only way I can make sense of Pia and Jacob being in the bottom 3. I do think Pia will succeed even though she is off the show. She is really amazing.

You don't like country music, and that's cool, you're not alone in DC! but this kid is a major talent. Even my DH who loooooathes country music can tell this kid is special.

I don't like Jacob at all. I can't imagine he would have a successful career after the show.

No, Carrie Underwood won the season she was on. She beat Bo Bice in the finale.
