Why are the Republicans Screwing This Up?

Anonymous
Seems to me, the Republicans COULD really play all of this to their advantage. With the introduction of the Tea Party, the Republicans could reinvent themselves as the moderate middle ground to the extreme left and extreme right. I think they could win back a lot of moderate and independent voters if they tried this. Instead, they are continuing with their identity crisis and pandering to these extremist Tea Partiers that can in no way possibly help them win an election. They are going to fight each other and hand the next election back to Obama.

Not that I mind, because I'm a hard core democrat. I just don't get why they aren't seizing this opportunity. Losers!

Can't answer right now-too busy trying to google 'republican intellectual elite". Not getting any hits, but hey, it's Comcast. I probably just have a slow connection.

Gosh, I just don't know why the Republicans won't take advice from their opposition.

That's pretty poor if you have to point to magazines to defend the intelligence of conservatism.

I don't know. I gotta give the PP credit. It's hard to defend something that doesn't exist.

Are you daring us to google for pictures of some of your "um . . . less intelligent" Democratic voters? I'm sure you know that we can all find "less than desirable representatives" of both parties!

Go for it.

"Shut 'er Down!"->"Get 'er Done"->"Get a Brain".

You do that with Democrats.

Funny how no one even had to ask whether the "Get a Brain! Morans" guy was a conservative or liberal.

It is self-evident.

Not at all. It was obvious from the fact that the poster included the words Tea Party Protester. Only politeness keeps me from posting equally pitiful and poorly educated voters from the other end of the spectrum. People like that are everywhere.

In times like these I have to remind myself of all the great things I love about America.

Yes, but the Morans guy didn't have anything that identified his political affiliation, except maybe the stars and stripes do-rag and the inability to spell "morons".

But don't be polite. You have permission to do your worst. Let's see it.
