Why are the Republicans Screwing This Up?

Anonymous
This board dives off topic like no other...

To OP's actual question...one word: primaries. I'm a middle of the road voter and am deeply disappointed that the Rs have veered right off the cliff since I'm not thrilled w/ the Democrats but right now they seem saner. But the wacko's drive the primaries and the Tea Party is hyper energized. They won't let a sensible Republican make it past the primary. And I describe them as wacko's because they're overly fixated on stuff that doesn't really make any dent in the budget like foreign aid or government salaries. If the Tea Party were actually focused on doing something serious about the major drivers of our deficits like military/Medicare/Medicaid and doing something about Social Security, then I would like them!

It is self-evident.

Not at all. It was obvious from the fact that the poster included the words Tea Party Protester. Only politeness keeps me from posting equally pitiful and poorly educated voters from the other end of the spectrum. People like that are everywhere.

Yes, but the Morans guy didn't have anything that identified his political affiliation, except maybe the stars and stripes do-rag and the inability to spell "morons".

But don't be polite. You have permission to do your worst. Let's see it.

Maybe after you explain the meaning of the word "forecather" that was used for the third picture?

I suppose you are not aware that the letter "c" is adjacent to "f" on the keyboard.

Why don't you just pretend you are a liberal, take a picture of yourself and post that?

Not going to engage in a little tit for tat with you. Just trying to point out that there are poorly educated, illiterate, extremists among both parties.

Maybe after you explain the meaning of the word "forecather" that was used for the third picture?

I figured he was protesting Jim and Brian Moran.
