Tysons is getting a Wal-Mart

Anonymous
Not sure I'm pleased. I would have liked a Target a little better. Guess traffic is destined to get worse in Tysons now.

OP, whereabouts in Tysons? 7 or 123?

Too bad I never go to Tyson's - I would love to have easy access to a Wal-Mart. The prices for some of their home goods, beauty products, school supplies, pet supplies, etc. just can't be beat.

Near the Sheraton on 7. Guess there's a Target going to Merrifield, so we'll have both closer than we do now.

The CEO of Walmart makes more in an hour than his average worker makes in a year.

just a bit of info. to share . . .

This sounds very negative but I don't shop at Wal-Mart because it's an evil company , and now I'm going to be annoyed at the extra traffic.

To pp who does not shop at Walmart because they are "evil", do you shop at Target? At K-Mart? At Giant? At Home Depot? At World Market? At the mall? At any major retailer? Because they are all "evil" in some of the ways people typically classify it.

Target is coming to the new development in Merrifield, so not that far away, if you live in Tysons.

Tysons already has a ton of crime. It will get worse though. Luckily it's mostly shoplifting at this point.

I read the article and thought it was clear that it was going to be a smaller store that concentrates on groceries. No?

Also, if you think Tysons is crime riddled area, you must be the same poster who thinks that McLean High School is "rough"...you really need to get out more!

Thanks, Chicken Little.

It has nothing to do with race, Mr. Ignorance and everything to do with actually knowing what you are talking about. What a concept. Clearly you know nothing about crime or do not live in Tysons or both. But if it makes you feel better pretending it is about race, you just go right ahead in your small little world.
