Kirkland brand (Costco) diapers and wipes?

FTM with baby due in 5 weeks. I got my Costco coupons the other day and saw they had coupons for both diapers and wipes. I wondered if anyone uses the Kirkland brand of diapers and wipes and what you think about them versus Huggies and Pampers. Thanks!

They work great. I think the Kirkland diapers are made by Huggies or Pampers. I haven't used the wipes though, so I don't know about that.

I have never tried the diapers (we used Huggies with DS and probably will with the baby we are expecting in June too). I love the wipes! They are just thick and wet enough; they aren't fragranced which I liked for DS' sensitive skin. I will say that I didn't learn about Kirkland wipes until DS was about 6 months old, so I am not sure how they are with a newborn who has sensitive skin. We used Pampers Sensitive wipes before Kirkland.

I can't speak for the diapers, but I'd say to avoid the wipes at all costs. We got a big case of them when our son was born (he's now 16 months), because they were really well reviewed in the Baby Bargains edition we had. It turns out they changed the composition of the wipes and now use wood pulp, which resulted in a whopping case of diaper rash on our newborn--open sores and everything. We've used Pampers' wipes ever since and have never had the problem recur. They are actually prettyreasonably priced if you order form Amazon through Amazon Mom/subscibe and save.

I love them both! Kirkland diapers are similar to Huggies, but I think they are better (maybe because they are cheaper?) and the wipes are great too! I cannot recommend them enough. One little thing is that I believe the smallest size the diapers come in is size 1-2, so they are a little too big for the typical newborn, but once your baby gets a little bigger they are great!

PP here who liked the Kirkland wipes. Wow, they changed the formula. I will say that my DS for whom I used Kirkland wipes is now almost 4 and used these wipes in 2008-09. I may have to reconsider using the wipes again. Wood pulp? Hmmm...

I wouldn't buy a huge amount of wipes or diapers until the baby is born. Like other posters said, your baby could have an allergic reaction to the wipes. With diapers you don't know how large your baby is going to be. Some babies grow out of newborn diapers quickly or are too large for them. I used to work for a private label diaper manufacturer and I don't believe that Huggies (made by Kimberly Clark) makes the Kirkland brand diaper. It is a private label manufacturer that makes them.

We used the kirkland brand diapers and they were great. They are made by huggies but way cheaper.

We use a ton of the wipes- have had no issues with our sensitive skin twins, and we've used them since the beginning. We did use the diapers for a while, but recently switched to target brand, just like those better.

We have been using the wipes since day 1 and the diapers since around 4 weeks (initially got sucked into using the Pampers that the hospital had). Have not had a problem with either (DS is currently 14 mos). We had very, very few diaper blowouts in these diapers - fewer than five, maybe? I think DS was about 10 or 11 lbs when we put him in the size 1/2.

I LOVE the wipes and think they are the best out there. We've been using them almost 2 years and I haven't noticed any change in them(?) Our daycare provider also said Kirkland brand is her favorite.

I am not a fan of the diapers. They are extremely similar to the fit of Huggies, which just didn't work for my son. The quality seemed fine, but the fit just didn't work.

If you go to Costco's website, there is a place where you can request a free sample of their diapers. I did this rather than buy a case.

We use both. I tried several other generic brand diapers (Target, CVS, and Safeway) and the Kirkland brand was the best by far. We use the wipes too. My DS has very sensitive skin and the wipes are fine for him.

Love em both. No problems w/ diaper rash or sizing. In fact, my daughter is long in the torso, and Huggies don't work for her, but the Kirkland brand is great.
Mom of 20mo and 4yo who used them the whole time he was in diapers...

Haven't tried the wipes, but I hated the diapers. They felt like cardboard compared to the Pampers Swaddlers we were using at the time, and leaked poop a lot more--they just didn't fit our DS as well.

We use both, no problem whatsoever. We have just now switched to size 3. DS is 4.5 months, 13 pounds. I will say that when you start getting frequent poop blowouts, this is probably a signal that you have to go up a size.
