| In a recent interview, apparently Newt Gingrich stated that patriotic passion led him into the arms of another woman (his third and current wife) while still married to his second wife( around the same time he was villifying Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky scandal). Google it to see his exact words. Way to spin it, Newt. |

This will be relevant if or when Newt runs against Ted Kennedy. You guys criticize us for bringing up George Bush to explain today's economic problems while you are still running against a dead guy. |

When Ted Kennedy rises from the dead to run for President in 2012 then this might be a relevant point. Seeing as how that's unlikely to happen, how is your response relevant at all? |

The reason why it makes 100% sense to hold republican politicians to a higher moral standard and call them out for hypocracy is because they virtually all run on all the Moral Majority crap. If you're going to run for election based on demonizing gay marriage as "destroying marriage" (when it's really out of wedlock babies and divorce that's doing that - not 2 people who love and want to commit to each other) and trying to hold everyone to the standards of your own religion even if that's not what THEY believe in, then it is totally appropriate to point out when they are saying one thing and doing something totally different. Democrats tend not to run on all the "moral issues", as the right likes to define them. (Forget the fact that Jesus spent a heck of a lot more time talking about taking care of the poor than he did about gays. Hypocracy of many of the "Christians" involved in right-wing politics is astounding.) |

I agree, but there's this one small little detail . . . Clinton was the President of the United States. Regardless of their political views, most people aren't thinking that their president is engaging in oral sex in the Oval Office with a young female approximately the age of his daughter. Many (or maybe it's only a few of us these days) thought such behavior was reprehensible. |

Really, cause I'm pretty sure that Clinton wasn't the first President to engage in such behavior. Power is a major aphrodisiac. |
