In a recent interview, apparently Newt Gingrich stated that patriotic passion led him into the arms of another woman (his third and current wife) while still married to his second wife( around the same time he was villifying Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky scandal). Google it to see his exact words. Way to spin it, Newt. |
But he sought the Lord's forgiveness. That's like a mulligan for conservatives.
Wife#3 look out. It sounds like Newt will be screwing (for) America very soon. |
Both seem to have the morals of an alley cat. |
Has he abandoned any women to drown while gasping for their last breath then have their corpse chewed by crabs overnight?
GLASS HOUSES!!! |
This will be relevant if or when Newt runs against Ted Kennedy. You guys criticize us for bringing up George Bush to explain today's economic problems while you are still running against a dead guy. |
B O smells awful poster here. If newt ever became president I would eviscerate him on this board. He was a very good at one time but has evolved into a total dushebag |
Do you ever get a "visual" of Bill Clinton and Monica getting it on in the Oval Office?! Neither one of these guys is a prize! |
When Ted Kennedy rises from the dead to run for President in 2012 then this might be a relevant point. Seeing as how that's unlikely to happen, how is your response relevant at all? |
He won't admit upfront that he's considering a 2012 presidential run, but if he does, he'd make a great Sulaimon Brown for Sarah Palin. |
The reason why it makes 100% sense to hold republican politicians to a higher moral standard and call them out for hypocracy is because they virtually all run on all the Moral Majority crap. If you're going to run for election based on demonizing gay marriage as "destroying marriage" (when it's really out of wedlock babies and divorce that's doing that - not 2 people who love and want to commit to each other) and trying to hold everyone to the standards of your own religion even if that's not what THEY believe in, then it is totally appropriate to point out when they are saying one thing and doing something totally different. Democrats tend not to run on all the "moral issues", as the right likes to define them. (Forget the fact that Jesus spent a heck of a lot more time talking about taking care of the poor than he did about gays. Hypocracy of many of the "Christians" involved in right-wing politics is astounding.) |
No is suggesting the Repubs have a monopoly on hypocrisy, it's just that that Republicans are evil and Democrats care about the people. Like Woody Allen said, "I'm a bigot, but for the left". |
Hey he wouldn't bother me so much if he didn't oppose gay marriage. Why should heterosexual philanderers like Gingrich be able to marry multiple times while sober, stable gay people are supposed to live like roommates? |
Newt's third wife was a junior house staffer ie his subordinate when they started their affair. It takes balls to attack Clinton at the same time you are doing what he did. |
I agree, but there's this one small little detail . . . Clinton was the President of the United States. Regardless of their political views, most people aren't thinking that their president is engaging in oral sex in the Oval Office with a young female approximately the age of his daughter. Many (or maybe it's only a few of us these days) thought such behavior was reprehensible. |
Really, cause I'm pretty sure that Clinton wasn't the first President to engage in such behavior. Power is a major aphrodisiac. |
