This isn’t news. If you have a kid in HS you better be aware of the realities of playing college and especially D1. Your goal as a parent is to make sure your kid is having fun and playing in the right environment for them.

Not news for you or some of the informed, but it may be news to some others.

You’re right. That first sentence wasn’t meant to be condescending but it came off that way. My bad.

So now people are taking screenshots of iamsoccerdorks ridiculous posts to try and pass them off because everyone knows he's an ECNL shill and wont click on his X posts?

Sad...

What i think is weird is that all this totally not cherry picked "data" clearly shows if youre not on a top team youre not going to be playing at the highest levels in college.

This means focus on getting your teams ranking up now because this is what will create visability. Visability opens doors to playing at the highest levels.

I think most people know those specific stats are not set in stone and that those twitter pages are propaganda for ECNL, but it is easy to calculate the numbers of youth players vs. D1 players and see that the chances of going D1 in any sport are slim. That's the gist of the post.

I agree with you that most people think the iamsoccer guy is propaganda and it's weird that he focuses so much on youth girls soccer.

What if someone told you that the person behind the account is a coach of a prominent ECNL club and what they're doing is biased to protect their job?

You would believe it right? I just don't understand why that account or the other one needs to post with anonymity, but I would absolutely believe the rumors about who it is.

I belive this.

The number of adults that make their living off the hard work of children is mind boggling. I wouldn't put it past one of these leaches to do a propaganda campaign to try and maintain their lifestyle.

Which ECNL club?

If the numbers are correct then the numbers are correct. Don't be a hater.

Any proof that they are incorrect?

Even if those stats were accurate when the article was written, each year brings its own twists. GA seems to be building momentum. Wish I had a crystal ball to see what the future holds.

All that matter is if your kid will make it.

Stats mean nothing.
