Isn’t part of the appeal of this whole gig that they pay for the travel and clothes?

I would not do it because I value my privacy, but people who sign on probably want to milk it.

Someone got mad when I said much earlier in the thread that Leslie’s spotty relationship history was a red flag.

Sorry, but if she has never been in a healthy, longterm relationship, who knows if she is capable if it. If that is what he seeks, Theresa at least knows the drill.

Her husbands cheated on her, and broke her heart. Are you saying she somehow deserved that treatment? Because he attributed this to HER.

She says she has never (despite two previous marriages) had someone treat her well, or commit to “until death do us part.” Seems odd for someone who has committed to marriage twice. At very least, her picker is off.

It certainly is, if she had her vows ready for Gerry.

But really, I dislike the idea that if a woman didn’t luck out immediately with relationships, she’s doomed to be rejected forever…because she hasn’t had good relationships. See how it works? So Leslie’s first husband cheats, she’s hurt, the second one deems her a doormat because of that and cheats on her, and on and on. She’s never worthy of being treated well because she wasn’t treated well. Meanwhile Theresa met her husband as a kid and married him and they stayed married till he died. Maybe she’s easier to get along with, maybe she put up with more shit, maybe she was just luckier. It doesn’t make her more worthy of love.

Anyway, I like them both and think both deserve better than Gerry. I hope Theresa has a prenup.

You sound defensive. No one said those with a challenging past deserves a challenging future. And no nice guy would decide to treat someone like a doormat because her last partner did.

All I was saying is that one partner seems riskier, and less relatable for someone with his history. Not less deserving.

I think you are identifying with Leslie. .

But I think it is kind that he did not lead her on until the last minute (probably much to the producer’s chagrin). More respectful to Theresa also. (A few hours at least of loyalty. And he does not have to watch Leslie be shocked.)

Was he crying because he hated hurting her or because he was shutting that door? We will never know…

It was hard to watch. She was traumatized and it felt invasive to watch.

Yeah, that left me feeling awful. I enjoyed watching the show until tonight. Also interviewing Leslie on the couch. Just too much pain.

They both have talked about hoping to travel...Ok,
so maybe they have realistically maybe eight to ten/twelve years to do that if all goes well. Statistically, traveling after he's 85 is unlikely. And then the odds are she will become his caregiver at some point. So, I just don't see the romance here and I'm not a cynic. There are also adult children to "blend" (all daughters which have been very involved with their widowed parent...so also likely to be complicated). And there's likely a lot of money involved (see Theresa's house in Shrewsbury which I'm sure is only one part of an extensive baby boomer portfolio!). I hope she's smart enough to protect herself.

Joan is holding Faith's and Ellen's hands, because his words are hurting them too.

So why are they there? If they were that hurt, they would have said screw it and not shown up.

They want the tv exposure. Hoping to get a spot on a reality tv show or get more attention for a future bachelorette role.

They were hurting for Leslie and were disgusted by what they saw/heard from Gerry. I’m sure they are all over him.

They were there bc they were contractually obligated to be there. They also probably wanted to see each other. I’m sure they did not expect to watch such trauma.

She is the lucky one Leslie
I did not watch last night because I did not care after ex girlfriends revelations about how he treats women.
He def picked her for the money
Anyway who cares
Stupid show
He is at end of his life
On borrowed time
I can b say that because I am same age
He’s a big insensitive fickle jerk
Cosmetic surgery does not fix that

Theresa is painfully thin
They all looked amazing for their age, any age
I hated him
Big phoney hurtful bs man
How dare he judge Leslie
He could have been the biggest hole to his wife , we will never know . Some women stay because afraid to leave,

What is all this obsession with Joan?
Who cares
They all looked good

None of this fake nonsense surgery and extensions.
Any good looks is God given, so let’s be proud of just the aging process

I would have lmao to see my mother prancing around in hair extensions and short tight outfits pretending to be 20. So rediculous
Makes us look like utter fools
