Unlikely. Probably all hold backs for promotions, family/friends, VIPs, and other rich people. |
It's November 22, and it sounds like you've finally figured it out. |
| I can imagine a scenario last Tuesday when ticket master execs were freaking out and ended up releasing more than they planned to based on backlash/tech issues. But I’m not optimistic the seats left go on sale via TM. I agree they will find hands vis other channels. |
I completely understand being frustrated and disappointed about not getting tickets, but in reality, Taylor simply can't perform enough shows to guarantee everyone who wants to see her will get to see her. Even if Ticketmaster hadn't royally screwed up, there would be fans who weren't able to get them. The demand is overwhelming. |
This is a weird comment. Fyre Fest was a festival that didn't exist. Taylor's tour is a real thing. |
Is this unprecedented? She is so incredibly popular and I’m definitely a fan but I’m wondering why the demand for her concerts exceeds other wonderful artists. |
We did not get tickets and this is going to be our option. No way I am buying tickets that were overpriced to begin with on the resale market, especially on a place like Stubhub where you might buy fake tickets. It's just too stressful. We are talking about a tickets at a stadium!! It sucks, but this is America, now. I guess Gen X and elder millenials were the last generation to go to pop concerns and not have to cough up a mortgage payment to see their idols. |
Smart thinking. Now pack the kids in the car and go see a show at Millenium Stage. Not a huge difference. |
Let the flaming begin. Is this because many of her fans are a similar age and outlook, and like to like the same things. |

I am trying to resell my floor seats for Denver in July. (A friend was able to get tickets for LA, so Denver is no longer needed.). Looking at the going rate on StubHub and their crazy fees, I will likely lose about $10-$30 per ticket. (Or I may end up donating them for the tax write off/good vibes. )
Several of the shows in the Midwest and also Pittsburgh will likely end up being cheaper on resale. No one made me buy the tickets. But given how the sale went, there were a lot of people (me included) who felt like they needed to “grab what they could”. I truly applaud anyone who opted out of this mess. |

You can sit front row on the floor in Denver for just over $2,000 a ticket. And it drops off quickly from there.
$2K per ticket is crazy, but in comparison to what the resale prices are looking like in New York and Philly, it actually might make sense to plan a St Louis or Denver trip if you HAVE to go to this thing. |
That’s the thing, it’s $700 for back row!! |
I live in Denver and will happily buy them from you. |
Ticketmaster did nothing preemptively though - they could have done something as simple as capping purchases to , say, 4 tickets per credit card transaction. Or require the cc used in the transaction to for admission to keep away crazy scalpers AND people like upthread who bought them just because. |
No it isn't unprecedented. The screw up, sure. But other artists have added shows as they go, and guess what? People still missed out. |
