LMAO at those who blame SAT and think that removing Tests would only help URMs.
There probably are shit ton of Asians who are great at everything else, but somehow weaker on test scores. These probaly were shooting for schools in a tier down. Now you are putting more Asians to the highest tier mix LOL TO is bad. it just add more complication and chaos. Students now have additional job to decide whether to submit or not submit for each of the schools they are applying. LMFAO |
It's the job of the Supreme Court. We'll see. |
I actually saw many cases of these for UVA VT Those Aisan kids were not really competitive for UVA or VA. Wehn they remvoed SAT/ACT, they now suddently look competitive. So they applied and many actaully got in. |

Hello we have over 100 pages, but I'll be nice and tell you one more time. Asians had great Tests(of course) + GPA + Activities + Leadership + Interview + Awards, etc. Harvard was disgusting, and soon it won't have a choice to racially discriminate. |
This. Its not A or B choice. They can keep affirmative action AND stop discrimination against Asians. Two issues aren't mutually exclusive. |
The numbers prove the opposite. There is a far higher percentage of Asian American students in top colleges than the overall population. Your point about the military betrays your ignorance here. You are clearly just trying to point score, and this is just nonsensical. |
It's the job of the Supreme Court. We'll see. No it isn't the job of the Supreme Court. This is something that gets decided at the trial court level. The Supreme Court is where you go to appeal legal reasoning. Such as Is Harvard allowed to discriminate against Asians to get diversity? Is Harvard allowed to discriminate against whites to get diversity? Can having higher numbers than in the general population still be discriminatory? |
Yes it will. It will just have to hide it a little better. Just like how they pretend to not have quotas, and say that race is just a plus factor to get diversity. |
Is that of all students, or of those taking it? That doesn't show the same disparity if it is out of the entire population. BC is a harder test. |
|
In the UNC case, SFFA is claiming that whites and Asians are being discriminated against.
The current UNC undergraduate class is 65% white and 22% Asian (SEVEN TIMES the state population). What?!? Clearly politics at play between SCOTUS and SFFA. |
We all know what the partisan hacks are going to do. |
No, the numbers clearly prove discrimination. Asians students are disproportionately intelligent and hardworking relative to their numbers in the population. The proportion of Asians you would see at top colleges on the basis of merit would be far higher than it is - the numbers are lower than they should be because the top schools are discriminating against them. To put it in terms people in the DMV would understand, without discrimination the demographics at the top colleges would look like the demographics of TJ High School - 60 or 70% Asian. |
More intelligent.. no that is not proven Harder working … no that is not proven Are obsessed with test prep… yes Asian and white prep school kids are obsessed with top $ tutors and test prep |
