No, his debauchery and deviance were considered rather vanilla at the time. He got a pass. It was not until his later years that the stories were revealed.

I had a friend who regularly attended these parties. She never really talked about them too much other than that it was chill, the food and drinks were good and that the grotto was fun.

One day she asked me if I wanted to go, and I said sure. I was new to town and I thought what’s not to like free food, drinks and a nice pool.

Anyway as we were getting ready, her date calls to say they were able to get me on the list as the date of some famous actor.

So she puts me on the phone because he has to talk to me about something. He couldn’t tell me who my date was but that he was a famous actor and he wanted to make sure I knew I was under no obligation to have sex with him unless I wanted to.

He couldn’t see my eyes bug out of my head, but I think my silence, followed by UH WHAT? was enough to get my invite rescinded because he called back about 30 mins later to let my friend know that the famous actor had decided to invite someone else.

I never made it to the mansion, so can’t say I personally know what went on in a Playboy party, but I do know you had to be invited and if you weren’t okay with giving it up for a cool pool and some free drinks you likely wouldn’t make the cut.

Reminds me of this article in Vanity Fair, all these actors hanging out, waiting for action. Very seedy but much worse went on than described here. You dodged a bullet.

Yeah yea never attended. But for some reason she had this creep who wasn’t promoting anything on her show dozens of times to help keep him A list famous.

I can understand thinking that. What’s unusual about this is that HE says she never attended and seemed slightly offended. If SHE was denying attending, I’d be more skeptical.

Of course, he could have lied about her never attending but I’m not sure why he would lie about that long before he got into trouble.

When are people going to understand that you know nothing about celebrities? You have no idea what John Legend is capable of because you don’t know him. You know the image put together and maintained by an experienced PR team based on focus groups queried about what is most likely to move his fan base to pay for his work.

He takes the audience on a journey through his entire life .., he uses lots of photos and music that he created at different stages. His story is compelling and I believed his version of himself. Yes I don’t know him personally and have no idea of who he really is.
