Nah bruh. FVC is good 'n' all but CYA is charging hard. Merged with SYA. Looking to take top spot in CCL this year at several age groups. Definitely the up and coming club. Abbot and Dillpickle are the team to watch.

Don’t forget about Loudoun Red 07 as the top 2nd team. Your DD can also work her way up to the top ECNL from Loudoun 2nd team.

Did do my research on Cryer. There is whole thread about him on TS. Majority say he is an excellent coach for Elite athletes. You are obviously the same McLean parent who posts about Bethesda over and over again. “Emotionally abusing” is your key identifier and everyone here knows it.

KL had no control of the 04s. He does not even coach them. Yep, the 05s are having a tough year. It happens. The players I know that have left are bench players, just like your DD. That is why you are so but hurt and feel justified because she starts for a lesser McLean team. Funny thing is your DD never even played for KL so you have no idea wtf you are talking about.

Appreciate your response to the OP, seems like one of many disgruntled parents. However, Kevin has been the '04 head coach for 2 years now, he took that team over after Shannon left. On the new couple coming in, this has not sat well with some of the current coaches as they were blindsided....so I am sure there is already resentment and they have not even moved here yet. Players as well did not know anything until they say their Instagram feeds. Very poor communication and explanation to the Bethesda community. I hope Jonathan can get this ship pointing in the right direction. We have had some great experiences with our son in the past.

I get the impression that none of the coaches were aware of who they were coaching.

The existing coaches did not know. They were just told “you won’t have your current team” and found out when the list was sent on Monday.

This! If you aren't happy with Bethesda, please just leave already. Nobody wants to deal with your drama. No worries, you will just find something to complain about where ever you land next. Enjoy you miserable commutes.

LOL at the 07 FCV parent. National Champions at what? Super Y doesn't count especially when you had players from many different clubs. FYI, Bethesda has also been putting players in Nat'l camp. Maybe just a couple less, sure. But hey, if parent is batshit crazy enough, maybe they will want to spend that time in rush hour traffic at least 3 or 4 days a week. On the bright side, they can steadily beat less than par GA Clubs 10-0 week in and week out if the GA can even make it another year or two.

Spoiled and ungrateful parents most of you are. You should be happy your DD is even playing on a level like ECNL or GA. Your kid is not the next US Team star. Sorry to break the news. Also, please read up and watch personal accounts of the college recruiting process. A well known coach is certainly a great help but is a small part of the process. My only question is, are you going to write emails to coaches for your daughter too because you have been pulling them out of school to do private training? Better hope your daughter is 4.0 GPA at least if you want any chance at HALF of tuition fees if DD even gets that. Geez, you people amaze me!

A good coach will correct a problem and support the player so they do not feel like a failure. Mr Cryer does not do that

And Shaun Cryer is not for everyone, and why is that? Well it is because he is an elite coach. The elite player will say to themselves, "shut up Shaun I hate you for saying that, but I'm going to make my touch and pass better so you shut up and teach me the next thing" They aren't going to be upset over it the next day and cry to mommy and daddy.
