Shhh Let them keep on thinking GA will get them ready for college. Don’t need the egos over at surrounding clubs. |
You mean the false sense of Stardom? |
TrueType sad, been planned from day one. |
Love to see how quiet the TSJFCV parents are after the horrific showing from their “elite” teams over the weekend. Guess the FCV way let them down against real competition. Tough pill to swallow, I’m sure. |
| ECNL teams were pretty dominant this weekend and GA were not. You can say what you want about the different leagues, but one is clearly outmatching the other where it matters. I'm sure it is hard to accept after all the promises. |
The Jeff Cup results are telling. No GA teams in any of the U15 finals. ECNL covered each of the finals for top 4 divisions (w/ ECNL Mid-Atlantic teams winning 3 of the 4). U16 Championship Group: 4 of top 5 results are ECNL.....congrats to Sporting Delaware GA for breaking the trend. U17 Championship Group: Top 5 results are ECNL teams |
You mean a showcase hosted by ECNL club in the city of ECNL's HQ didn't put GA clubs in the top brackets? Color me shocked!! |
Some were in the top brackets, just got beat so didn't end up in the list provided above by the PP of top finisher. So if they were placed in a lower bracket they should have smoked everyone, right? Oh wait, they were and didn't. Keep drinking the kool aid though. |
Top bracket or "top brackets"? Because in any other Jeff Cup weekend nobody considers the 3rd or 4th bracket a top bracket. |
Agree...sorry, I meant top bracket, but across multiple years so said top brackets. My point was the GA was represented and did poorly and even when not in the top bracket "because ECNL did not put them there" the GA teams still did poorly overall. |
For U16 and U17 the top bracket in each age group had 12 teams, so only made sense to zero in on them, but the Elite division for these age groups had similar results when comparing ECNL and GA teams. The U15 age group was set up tournament style, so there were legit teams in each of the top 3 or 4 divisions. Good teams got seeded in each of these divisions as Jeff Cup likes to avoid having matchups of teams from the same league or state. |
Fine - look at the second in 2004 age group. ECNL teams not looking so hot in that group. Some Of those teams should have been in the top bracket ot offer some stronger competition. |
What are you trying to say. It seems to contradict |
Huh? Top 2 teams are ECNL. |
Your logic makes it worse....if they were in lower divisions and STILL couldn’t place, what does that say about GA? |
