My kids, DH and I are hanging out with each other at home. DH or I are going to only select grocery stores at off hours - some have fewer people and some do curbside pickup. We have home projects in the yard and home, we are cooking, kids are studying and taking classes. Kids are playing video games with their friends, exercising in our home gym or generally vegging out. I wish we had a swimming pool because that would have been great. |
We are living as normally as possible with our teen. Today the family went to breakfast at our local breakfast spot. Ate indoors since it was hot. Tables 6 feet apart and people wore masks.
Then home for some chores. Then furniture shopping and a book store with masks. Bought some furniture so had to haul it home. Zoo tomorrow and friends over to swim in the evening. |
+1 For various reasons, in America, we’re not going to quash the virus as New Zealand did. We’re going to have it around for at least another year, if not more, and most people can’t live in near-total isolation for that long. We can take precautions and not do things we know are dangerous (going to bars, gyms, etc.), but shaming people for spending time in their backyards with another family only makes things worse. |
Working and eating at home. Weekly playdates with two different families, outside with masks. |
