Bobby seems to be a pretty typical Millennial. Zero respect for actual hands on experience. Take a few license courses, shake the right hands and boom you are a now a master. A true lack of playing experience means he can never truly relate to players and the speed of the game and their decisions. He is also probably technically limited to even demonstrate proper technique much less know it when he sees it.

Pretty shocking that someone with so little hands on playing experience has risen so high in the youth ranks and is actually a gate keeper for US National teams.

He’s a gatekeeper? In what regard? He scouted before falling into the fcv job.

He still has US Soccer coaching duties and is certainly the coach at FCV passing along names to US Soccer.

I wouldn’t consider him one of the best because I don’t know who he is. But you’re doing a little more than discussing him as a coach, actually you haven’t discussed anything about his coaching at all, just keep going on about the level that he played at. It seems personal and it’s been several posts now. We get it, you made your point, just give it a rest. Let’s discuss other coaches now and shift the focus away from your personal fixation.

Nothing is stopping you from bringing up other coaches to discuss. It isn't our job to guess who or what you wish to talk about but it is a thread about coaches and a coach is being discussed. If you are not interested feel free to read another thread or contribute with other coaches. Threads kinda meander so try and relax.

Let''s discuss McLean and what makes that program great. I would agree with many that McLean recruits but there is something to be said about teaching kids how to play at a high level and by all evidence, the McLean coaches do that. Anyone else have any perspective on the three main coaches at McLean?

There are plenty of things to not like about McLean, but the qualities of the top 3 girls coaches there are not among them.

Clearly it's more than one person (as in a forum) that has a problem with BP's coaching ability. Don't assume it's one person. Believe me, there are a lot of reasons to not respect Bobby and a lot of people that are tired of his pompous abuse of their daughters.

BP doesn’t explain things well to the girls-they are often confused by what he wants them to do but are too scared to ask him to explain further. He needs to put himself in their shoes and realize he isn’t coaching the US women’s national team, but adolescent girls.
