I mean, MAJOR events, sure - like trips. But something like this? I doubt that would go on any public schedules this far in advance

I interned in the scheduling office a couple presidents ago - they have their ways of keeping things quiet.

What stops someone from going to the courthouse that day to walk around/get documents/ect? I mean you will see them go in and out?

If there are lawyers here: Could a Sealed v. Sealed case just be a case involving child molestation, or some ordinary kind of criminal case like that?

Not a lawyer but the only Trump-appointed judge on the panel refused himself for this.

Let's not forget that one of the first things President Trump wanted Rex Tillerson to do was to work to get rid of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Tillerson pushed back saying it was important that Americans were not going to bribe foreign officials to do business in other countries but should rather work to lessen corruption in other countries.

Well hot damn.

What does this mean?

Sealed v. Sealed

What do we know about this case? Almost nothing. The entire district court docket is sealed, and although the circuit court dockets are publically available, all individual filings are sealed.

Why do some believe this case is related to the special counsel investigation? Writing in Politico, Josh Gerstein and Darren Samuelsohn lay out two reasons to believe this case is related to the special counsel investigation. First, a sealed response was filed in the case just three hours after Samuelsohn overheard a man request the special counsel’s latest sealed filing from the clerk’s office for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit clerk. Second, the only judge to recuse himself from the en banc panel hearing the appeal was Trump-appointed Judge Greg Katsas, who promised during his confirmation hearings to recuse himself from any cases related to the special counsel investigation due to his previous work in the White House Counsel’s Office.

Where does the case stand? The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Aug. 16, 2018, where Chief Judge Beryl Howell ruled on Sept. 19. After the case was appealed up to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the appeals court quickly sent it back to the district court to resolve a procedural issue. The appeals court will hear oral arguments on Dec. 14, 2018.

Isn't Trumps schedule semi-published. To determine if its him..

It's probably John Kelly. Guiliani let be known last summer that the WH was fighting Mueller re: an interview of him. https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/08/politics/rudy-giuliani-mueller-cnntv/index.html

Guess it's not John Kelly who's fighting the special counsel's office since he apparently did have an interview with them. https://www.thedailybeast.com/john-kelly-questioned-by-mueller-in-obstruction-probe-cnn

So that leaves the suspects as Trump, Pence or....Ivanka?

Unless Kushner is already cooperating.

There's lots of Twitter speculation about this but absolutely no real ideas. Completely opaque.
