I love threads about McLean. So many crazies!
|
The most coveted areas get the most attention. No one decides to starts a thread every time some restaurant closes in Burke. |
We get Tachibana takeout at least 3 times a month. |
A lot of people do. Including me. I lived in Japan for 3 years and it is the best sushi I have had in this area. Also, unlike most Japanese restaurants, this is owned and operated by a Japanese. I love going in there because I can practice my Japanese and order my favorite foods that I grew to love in Japan. There is no other restaurant like that in the DC area. If so, please tell me. Every other one I've been to is Korean operated and does not serve authentic Japanese food. |

Ok. I was mistaken. McLean has ONE great restaurant that a small number of people will drive to visit. Wow. What a food Mecca?! ![]() I’m sure (I hope) there will be better options in the future, but slim pickings today. |
Why does McLean have 3 sushi restaurant |
You are so obnoxious. |
And very xenophobic with that "Mecca" reference. |
Anyone know a good accountant? Might make ~$60k/yr?

McLean residents are skinny, want to remain in shape and don't eat much. No wonder local restaurants go bankrupt. |
Except they have unfriendly waitresses and odd hours. |
What bunch of ethnocentric gibberish. I love the modern fusion of ethnic foods. Even the Tachibana serves California rolls. ![]() If the food is good, it is good no matter who makes them. |
In order from best to worst sushi
Japanese=excellent Korean=good That/Viet= mediocre Chinese=bad |
Dal Grano is actually some of the best food in McLean (that's not saying much, I know). I can't understand why McLean is full of crappy chain restaurants. You'd think with all the money around there more locals would start cute little joints with decent food, even if just as a write off. |
