I understand if this was 1850, but come on! It reminds me of the millennial loser bloggers acting like they are in the middle of the civil rights era.

Clearly you missed Charlottesville, “we will not be replaced”, and trump’s repeated support of white supremacists. Don’t you have a tiki torch to light?

+1.

Well unless.you are a minority that lives in.the south today, what do you know? I know across NC to FL racism is very much so alive and well. Also in the open like "hey n*gger" type of comments IN PUBLIC

But, yes, voting for R’s at this point makes you a sympathizer.

Come on, most Rs are not in any way, shape, or form sympathizers on this. Especially ones who live around D.C.

Most Rs find white supremacist viewpoints absolutely abhorrent and disgusting.

Stop. Seriously. Do you not get that your party has given cover to these groups? Make excuses for them? Oh, and push racist policies?

Sympathizers. Complicit.

Stop. Seriously. Do you not get that you can support controls on immigration without being racist? That you can support border security to stop human and drug trafficking without hating brown people? That you can be concerned about letting people immigrate to this country who have no respect for women's rights, protection of homosexuals, freedom of speech and freedom of religion, and still not hate Muslims? That you can be disturbed by so-called Anti-fascists who dress and act exactly like Fascists and that objecting to their behavior does not mean you are a fascist? That being a white person in a majority white country does not make you a "White Supremacist?"

You have tap danced around the point of my post.

Until the base and the party leaders start actually being forceful in their condemnation of white supremacy, neo nazis and the kkk, many see your continued support of this party as complicit.

You can scream from the mountaintop that you personally are not. Doesn’t change the current political situation.

Ffs, there are actual neonazis on the ticket as Republicans in some places.

If it makes them more money- great. But most likely- it’s a risk where they are. They aren’t as “liberal” as DC or even FFX. And they had a lot of criticism for their BLM sign.

This sign was the first to get a huuuge backlash. Because some people think that they are saying “resist whites” and/or their “supremacy.” And I think that was the point: to show that the people who are offended either can’t read (as evidenced by a lot of the dumb posts about it) or think that it’s a political jab (which it shouldn’t be.)

And herein lies the effed up portion of this: white supremacy should never have becomes a left or right wing agenda. But somehow, it has- and it’s not the lefts fault. It’s the elected GOP- for not rejecting the KKK.

So now it’s the voting GOPs decision to either reject those people (and vote for someone else) or embrace their new vision that white supremacy is ok. My theory is that the GOP will continue to vote for white supremacy as it suits them.

And for the conservatives who thinks that liberals are commies: we didn’t vote for Bernie in the primary and he’s the socialist. We voted for the capitalist Clinton. By three million more than you and you won the presidency. And Yet, the GOP is still the one still making deals with the devil.

the bolded is what I meant above. Sympathizers.

However, I have to take issue with the last portion. Socialism is not the same as communism. Communism is basically the extreme form of socialism, but socialists are not necessarily communists.

There are socialists and communists on the ballot in MD right now. Bernie almost did win the nomination and many think there was collusion against him as to why he didn't. There is definitely an undercurrent of socialism/communism within the liberal party.

Who?

Also do you think that a socialist (for example, Bernie Sanders) is morally equivalent to a white supermacist or a Nazi?

I don't have time to look up articles, but have seen them for local elections and state elections. Here's an article from huffingtonpost on this trend around the US. Liberal enough for you?

Socialism and communism are economic theories.

People who subscribe to the economic principles are not evil.

It is when authoritarian governments use force to start and continue the operation of these economic systems that causes problems.

Plenty of democratic governments that are socialist with happy and healthy populations.

The use of force by government is what many conservatives are afraid of. Particularly those that seem anti-white people. I don't see how this sign is helping that conversation.

Yeah, no. "I know I've seen some somewhere" is really not convincing support for the statement "There are socialists and communists on the ballot in MD right now."

Please name two communists on the ballot in Maryland right now, thanks.

Will have to look up later. I don't live in MD so don't know their names off-hand. But they've been in recent news articles.

Here is one I was able to find quickly.
