Swami says by August 1st for Ludlow-Taylor, and not before count day for SWS, but you will call in January and find out that there's a slot after little Larla took the plunge with her family and moved to Madison.

Does waitlist may vement stop between now and mid-August?

I'm wondering if all the staff are now on vacation and nobody will pay attention to enrollment numbers for a while....

No - the staff who handle this (registrars and principals) work through the summer. So as people make decisions, things will move.

However at DCPS schools things will move less because they wait to see who might show up for school that they have to enroll (new IB families).

Swami says no, lists are managed at schools by 12 month staff. They may close the full school for a week or two between now and the end of July, but that varies from school to school.
