Baloney, absolutely not. If you read it that way, YOUR problem, clearly. |
I agree, but as an AA I like knowing how people think. I was raised hearing "You have to be twice as good to get half the opportunities". It's true. These people are staring college with people saying they only got there because of color or where they were born. When it's time for them to get a job people may not think they are as good and only got were they are because affirmative action not because of hard work. So sad, but so real. You all should be ashamed but do know we know what you think behind your fake smiles. |
Your pp here. No, my bolded comments were in no way directed at all AA. There is no lumping anymore than the question was lumping. The comment was directed at those individuals, few though they might be, who get on dcum and utteely fail to see anything as other than a reason to lump whites in one evil empire and play the race card on conversations that really are not about race. I regret not having been directed in my comment to those few who turn our discussions into race wars. I have no entitlement and no clue what selfpreservation means. But I do want ro ask folks to stop turning it all into a reductionist argument. If my exasperation led me to contribute to that, I'm sorry. But let's be less fabricating about what is an offense vs. what is a cheap shot. |
