Have you guys noticed that the kids have not been in any/much of the last few episodes? I wonder if this is a sign from TLC that the show is winding down. They don’t want to pay salary to the kids to have them on air… |
I like Meri. I think Kody basically has alienated her with lack of affection for decades and that made her very vulnerable to the cat fishing thing and now Kody blames her for that and takes it as a personal embarrassment. She only had one kid in a culture that prizes children above all. Her sister wives could pump them out regularly and did. And yet, she seems to have very real kind loving relationships with many of their children. She has always worked ( or mostly) bringing money to the family. I think Kody keeps making decisions for her and not with her and that rubs the wrong way. The house plot is an example. Plus, he went about the one house thing all wrong. He should have described it was townhouses where they each had their own home and directly addressed Christine’s issues. With the four separate houses- they will be much further apart than they were in LV and they are not recreating that circle. It will only move them after away from each other emotionally- when they will empty nesters (not Robyn) soon.
I also like Janelle and Christine and Robyn. All of their children seem to be brought up in their faith, but they stilL went to public school and are being allowed to make their own faith decisions. They seem to be excellent parents and raise independent thinking children. |
That episode gave me insight into why they did not want one house. I always assumed one house would be better - especially since what Kody planned with different townhomes that had their own kitchens and then a big space seemed to meet their needs, but Janelle talking about what a brat Meri was when they lived in one house and how she was always complaining about the noise and kids running made me think that the other wives were more worried about that. Like how annoying to be playing with your kids and have Meri walk through all sour about the noise. I honestly think if it was just Janelle, Christine, and Robyn they would have agreed to the one big house |
How does this work?
Every wife gets the same amount of space regardless of the number of kids? Every wife looks after their own kids. The other wife is not a babysitter |
+1. Janelle is the only reason I still watch the show. If she decided to leave Cody, I would totally watch a spinoff with her. |
Latest episode: Kody and Robyn have to move bc Robyn's rental has sold. No rentals large enough on the market. Robyn believes that God will make one materialize, while Kody wants to just buy a house bc they have to be out on in 60 days. Also, it seems that the kids all like Flagstaff. The most interesting thing to me was that Robyn really believes that God will intervene in her life to provide her with a large rental house. |
I tend to think this is why Meri stays. |
This show gets better (?) by the week. These people are delusional. God is not in charge of the rental market in Flagstaff, AZ! This week we witnessed Robyn's 17 year old (her bio dad is a Jessup OMG) have a massive panic attack on air. She's a minor and TLC should not have allowed us to see this. Kody continues to show us that he is dumb as well as a bully. |
Moving to Flagstaff was stupid. THey have the perfect set up and it makes zip sense to move the way they did and as fast as they did.
Meri has been alienated but she doesn't do herself any favors. She seems difficult to get along with on practically everything, but isn't always given a fair shake. I think Robyn is a die hard plural marriage wife and the favorite. She seems to care about the other wives, but it all be fake. I like Christine alot. She seems the most "normal" |
Meri is a product of her environment, and that blame goes to Kody.
This last episode just showed a lot of true colors for Kody I think. He's a manipulative ass. Janelle and Christine need to move out on their own, Kody can stay with Robyn (who is super needy/naive) and Meri can head her own way. |

I don't know about that - she chose to live plural marriage and stay in the marriage. I remember she was working as a youth counselor so has some working experience outside if LulaRoe and the Sister Wives show. I think she stays because of the rest of the family and maybe also in part because of the show. |
If my sister had to move out of a rental in 60 days, I would offer some room in my own home. I could handle at least a couple of kids. Maybe they aren't so close after all...
Why has none of the wives rented an apartment? Okay, I get Robyn because she has a bunch of kids, but Meri has no kids at home. |
I think Christine and Janelle are fairly packed in their house/rental and Meri’s house was also on the market aNd she also had to find yet another rental. So there really wasn’t a place for Robyn to land. |
How do they share Kody? Who gets which days? |
I was horrified by that scene and she said it happens 1-2x a week!! Poor kid. She needs therapy or meds. Robyn probably thinks prayer and a hug will help. |
