You beat me to it. I was going to say that if you want to make me (a northerner who wears minimal makeup, has never dyed my hair as an adult, and doesn't have fantastic fashion sense) feel bad, don't compare me to a southern woman. Compare me to a Parisian. Also, I had to laugh at the post way way back that said southern women's global advantage is due to their smiling friendliness. Actually, I love smiling and smiling is something I love about America, but worldwide, our smiling can come off as making us look potentially missing a few screws. |
Yup. Too much smiling makes one look dumb to others (see RBF thread). |

I'd love if we could know the actual location of these posters. Wondering if the southern ladies are living in Loudoun County, McClean and the urban/European women are in DC/Arlington/Bethesda.

Interesting you think it matters. I'm from the south and my appearance would be what it is no matter which area I lived in because it's how I've always comported myself. |
So glad to hear you were a Carolina Tri Delt, and as a Pi Phi from across the street I would be shocked to see one in a black skirt. Do they still have triangle burgers on Fridays? |
