Yesterday WTOP said he left the hospital prematurely, against doctor's orders. His emergency hospital treatment was due to drug OD following a concert.

This morning they said it was flu.

I respected this at the time but now I realize he made himself inaccessible to younger generations. I would love to tell my high school students to go look up all his best songs and videos and... They can't.

I totally agree, I'm just saying it makes it harder to get younger generations exposed to his music.

He once said that what saddened him was seeing fans bring their children to his concert. something to the effect of each generation needing its own innovative performer

I don't want to speculate about his cause of death, I want to hear what the autopsy report says. If he did overdose it's possible there were some prescription/over the counter drug interactions, especially if he was on medicine for his epilepsy.

I don't know if that is an accurate description of his Paisley Park home.

But he's quoted in a soon-to-be-released Rolling Stone article as saying something like:

-he stayed in his hometown in Minnesota because the cold kept the bad people away.

He was possibly the greatest American musician of all time. He even hosted a huge dance party in front of his home during the past year.
