I'm completely at a loss how this is so difficult for many dog owners to understand. Leash your dog (a non-retractable one). Everyone's happy. everyone can enjoy the snow. Everyone's safe. It's. So. Easy. |
Agree with this except you'd be spending the night in the hospital after I kick the shit out of you. |
The only people with 2 year olds who are terrified of dogs are dog haters. Truth. |
This is OP. My cat is a pedigreed Russian blue and she is harnessed and confined to her run when she goes out. I'm not sure how she caught a mouse, I guess it was stupid enough to go in her run. She has several ledges in there to climb on. She only gets premium kibble so she's not hungry for mouse, it's just instinct. I can not imagine all these people who would let other people's dogs run over their property despoiling it with no problems. You are a person of more patience and tolerance than I. The good news is I managed to clean up the pee, spittle, clumps of hair I didn't realize were there until this morning (caught in some of my ornamental bushes, blowing in the wind like some kind of wal-mart nylon season flag). Perhaps I should employ my son's nerf gun in the future for these purposes. I wouldn't want to harm a dog permanently, but to leave it with the sting of reproach from a spongy ball would do, it would. |
I think OP is messing with us. |
And there are animal cruelty laws in most states nowadays. I will definitely press charges against PPs psycho ass. Good luck proving to a jury that my dog harmed you when you don't have a single scratch on you. |
Dogs are disgusting. |
I'm the first Old Town responder above. I have no problem with dogs walking around our neighborhood or Old Town . . . as long as they're leashed. |
The point is, don't let your toddler run up to my dog! (I don't let my dog run up to people, not that he'd want to, ever). |
I didn't say they were equal, you inferred it. But my dog is terrified of little kids, and I can't believe how many parents let their kids run up to strange dogs. It disrupts my efforts to socialize my dog and help her get over her fears (which she got because she was abused before I adopted her) and it is dangerous for the child. Always ask the dog's owner before approaching. It is not hard. |
I should add that it's not normally a problem, but because of the snow all normalcy went out the window, so OP has a dog peeing in her yard, PP has a dog pooping on her shoveled path, and I had a makeshift dog park on my street. |
I agree. Also, you might get shot. This is a bigger infraction than stealing a parking space. |
This is at least the 2nd time you have used this word. (I refuse to read this whole insane thread, so it may be more than 2 times) Do you know the meaning of this word? You don’t appear to...... |
+1. Be respectful of people who don't want dogs on their property and don't want dogs jumping on them. If you want the leash laws abolished, you should petition your representatives, not ignore the law. |
Do you really think a jury trial would be convened over something like this? You sound sort of delusional. The best way to protect your pets is to keep them on your property and obey the leash laws in public. |
