Legal - Yes. Valid - No. I used to live in DC, I still have lots of family and friends there (we moved very recently) so I am still very much involved and invested in things changing for the sake of the children I know in the area. Do you also tell people to stay out of children dying from hunger in Africa, children being abused as sex slaves in Thailand, children being forced into labor in India, children living on the streets in Russia etc.? Just because I don't currently live somewhere does not mean I should not care about the children who do live in an area where something is going seriously wrong. The point is that the people living in a country are often the last to care about problems in that country and the very last to do anything about it. You are a perfect example for that. |
By powerful you mean money - money has nothing to do with being advanced. The fact that the US manages to be one of the most powerful countries in the world means nothing...the US is huge compared to most countries. No wonder the US has power. But the healthcare system, insurance system, education system, childcare system, the huge gap between rich and poor and so on and so forth all don't make the US a very advanced country. Power does not equal good. |
